Cabin is situated in a perfect location; just east of Estes Park and RMNP. All modern conveniences and then some were provided with very accommodating hosts. Wouldn't hesitate a return visit if in the area.
Frank and Karen and spectacular hosts. They truly enjoy having people stay at their cabin and go the extra mile to make you feel very welcome. The cabin is located a few minutes outside of Estes Park and about 15 away from Rocky Mountain National Park, which was perfect because we spent a lot of our time there. The cabin was extremely clean and organized. It was a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend staying with them. We will most likely be staying with them again in the future.
Our stay was great, the place had everything we wanted. At the place, we were able to rent out an entire house which is something that we were really looking for. This way, we had a kitchen, backyard with a fire pit, driveway for parking, bathroom with a shower, and river access. We actually did pretty well fishing there. Frank's house had a beautiful interior and was really something else. He put a lot of work into keeping the place in good shape. It's not a big place but it's really cozy and allowed us to stay in our own home and we really enjoyed. It’s less than ten minutes from Estes Park and we enjoyed being away from the commotion of town but conveniently close. I would stay here again if I ever came back to this area and I will recommend this place to anyone I know traveling to Rocky Mountain National Park.
This is a great place for families to stay in the Estes Park area! The location is excellent--perhaps 15-20 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and a bit less to all the restaurants and shops in Estes Park. The cabin is located across the street from the Big Thompson River, so with the windows open at night, you can enjoy the peaceful sound of water rushing over the rapids.
As far as the cabin itself goes, the pictures don't do it justice. The décor is charming, full of thoughtful touches that make you feel like you're at home. We found the size perfect for our family of four. Our kids enjoyed playing in the yard and watching for wildlife. We saw an elk in the yard one evening, along with plenty of birds. The yard had lots of pretty flowers to enjoy, as well as a fire pit and BBQ grill.
Perhaps the best part of all were the gracious hosts, however. Frank and Karen went far above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering a warm welcome and lots of suggestions of hikes and other things to do in the area, based on our interests. We greatly appreciated their kindness.
