Found this place on line and were not sure what to expect, you never know if you are getting a true picture but when we arrived we were absolutely blown away. The photos do not do it justice. We booked for 3 nights but could not get 3 consecutive nights in one room. They promised to have our second room ready as soon as possible the next day and would move our luggage if we were out. After breakfast the next they told us that they had already cleaned our second room and we could move right in that morning. The first room was on the lower level and was out of this world gorgeous, amenities were first class and the décor was absolutely beautiful. Our second room was on the upper floor and again absolutely beautiful. The rooms appear to be similar in décor with differences in the colors. The upper room had higher ceilings but not by much. The details in these rooms are unbelievable. Loved the rounded corners, the decorative niches and wall hangings. The rooms are also extremely quiet, it appeared that there was a store room or other space between the rooms so they did not adjoin each other so you heard nothing. We were just down from the bar and never heard another guest. The breakfasts were really good as well, everything was fresh and very tasty, waffles and fresh fruit, house made parfaits and baked goods. Excellent. On our last morning we had to leave before breakfast was served so they gave us huge fresh fruit parfaits, baked goods and coffee for the road. We also took advantage of the happy hour in their bar which was a lot of fun. They offer small plate food as well as mixed drinks, wine and beer. One evening instead of going out we took advantage of the bar service, we recommend the chili and the meatball sliders, more than enough food. Had a great time with the staff that evening as well. And speaking of the staff everyone we met was amazing. They are all extremely friendly, very helpful and could not have been more accommodating. Ala in all one of the best experiences we have had, loved every minute.

Room Tip: Upper rooms have a better view.

If you want a romantic getaway - this is it!! My husband and I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this place! We have decided that we will need to come back and visit regularly over the next several years.

There were 2 occasions where their must have been a miscommunication or something - we requested more orange juice with our breakfast in bed, waited 20 minutes and it never came and then the day we were checking out we asked for more laundry bags, waited 20 or 30 minutes and they never came. Not a big deal, just a slight nuisance.

Those 2 points aside, this place is amazing and definitely the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. We can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: We picked the third floor suites to have the most privacy on our balcony.

My fiancee and I had the pleasure of staying at the Della Terra last weekend for a wedding we were attending, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite we stayed in was nicer than anything I had stayed in before: it was huge, very clean, and had an epic bathroom with a large tub, a fountain, and a walkthrough shower with 4 spouts. Each suite also has its own hot tub, and we made sure to take advantage of ours each morning of our stay.

The grounds were beautiful, and it was easy to see why couples would choose this spot to host their wedding. Food for the event was very good, and the breakfast was also very tasty. There is only one hot option for breakfast each morning, but we were pleased with the offering both times. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't get to enjoy some of the extras like the theater room or the large DVD collections that were available for use, but it's nice that they were available.

Room Tip: Opt for the suites instead of the cabins

My husband and I stayed in the Snow Suite for three nights for a wedding. Our room was very nice and cozy, especially liked the fireplace and waterfall fountain in our room. The view was not much from the room (against the mountain and out on parking lot), but it was quiet and in the morning we say elk grazing the mountain side. Did not use the outdoor or in door tubs. We had drinks and dinner one night at the bar which was very small. The wedding venue, food etc. was fabulous and I can see why this is a popular place for weddings! Daily breakfast was included and we opted to have it in our room, it was good and plentiful. If we ever visit again we would probably see if we can get a room with a better view or stay elsewhere. A bit pricey.

Room Tip: 3rd floor may have better views but if wedding is going on might be noisy

Skip this place! We stayed at the McGregor cabin. The beds are rock hard and the pillows flat. The window coverings in the large bedroom permit the bright lights in from the Chateau parking area. No ceiling fans for air circulation. Opening windows for fresh air is not an option due to the noise from wedding parties. They have a 10 am checkout but expect guests to wash the dishes, etc. or they have the option to tag on another charge. Coffee was provided for one day only. Cheap powder creamer. Ran out of TP on the last day.

We stayed in the Fall River Cabin during the peak fall season. The cabin was charming - either very new or recently updated. We loved the cabin for the 2 nights we stayed but we are more hotel people. Tried 9 months in advance to book the chateau which was full. Amazing facility for weddings and would have been a great place to stay. We would definitely stay here again in either the cabins or the chateau. Staff were really helpful when we arrived a day early and they couldn't accommodate us. Helped us find a place for the extra night nearby.
