This was an anniversary stay for us--and the staff could not have been any nicer, efficient, and caring. The hotel itself is an Arizona classic that has been nicely updated. We were upgraded to a suite which was freshly re-done. We had our chihuahua with us, and the hotel is so very pet friendly -- no extra charges for anything and a convenient pet area located nearby. This will be a definite do-over for us ... can't speak highly enough about our experience.

My hotel room was clean and good sized and had a nice view of the mountains if you ignored the parking lot. The three meal a day restaurant was a good size and service was friendly and the food was good. The only downside to this hotel is the fact that the bedside light switches are all wired to one switch which is on the wall as you go out the door. So if you want to turn out your lights after feeling sleepy, you have to get out of bed and throw the switch to turn them off. I would highly recommend that the hotel fixes this problem.

Enjoyed two nights in this resort style hotelwith four floors and access to rooms from outside corridors. Rooms are divided into 4 sections, a lounge area, the bathroom with shower and toilet, the wash basin area, and finally the bedroom area, so the room felt like a mimi suite. We had two queen beds, but think one king is another option. The rooms surround a triangle shaped courtyard that includes pool, hot tub, poolside chairs and tables including a gazebo and bbq area, and fire pits. As Marriott platinum elite guests we had access to the club lounge which served a good quality breakfast and range of evening snacks and appetisers. All the staff here were super friendly especially Summer in the club lounge who went out of her way to welcome us. We will definitely choose this hotel over others in the area in any future visit to Tucson.

Room tip: Fourth floor rooms are on the same level as the club lounge.

First off, I'd like to state that the staff at this location are excellent - everyone was REALLY nice, helpful, attentive and accommodating. For instance, staff were able to clean our room on demand, and promptly. Additionally, much of the grounds are pleasant, including a fire pit that was occasionally lit at night. Location wise, this place is moderately close to the U of A campus and downtown Tucson, but certainly not within walking distance. Nice pool area, comfortable beds, good wifi connection, and great TV channel list. Now, off to some of the more interesting aspects of the stay. First, the doors to the room were french doors (tainted, but still see-throughish glass) with ombre-style curtains to cover them. This would not have been a huge issue if the curtains were not incredibly difficult to maneuver around when entering/exiting the room and to open/close. Second, there were some interesting artworks in the room, which were definitely tacky. Lastly, breakfast buffet offered at the hotel restaurant (Glowbal) was not great (i.e. corned beef hash from a can) - however, staff was really nice there. If this review was merely regarding staff and service, this location would receive more stars (probably 4.5). However, the interesting aspects of this place bring the score down slightly. In conclusion, it's got some tackiness, but you can certainly do worse (as another guest in the elevator emphatically told me).

Like all Sheratons very nice and always great hotels. The location is a bit off the path from University and 4th Ave District. But definitely a great hotel in Tucson, rooms are very modern and comfortable.
