We stopped in late in the day for some birding. There was a large number of ducks in the ponds as well as a couple of Night Herons. Also saw white-winged doves, cormorants, vermilion flycatchers. Lots of families with small children, so it seems it's a good family spot.

We love this zoo. From the giraffes to the otters, all areas are easy to see. The elephants have a newer bigger enclosure and lots of room to roam. Make sure to feed the giraffes! They also have special behind the scene tours and extras you can sign up for. Very fun for kids of all ages. Great gift shop also.

Have been there to concerts, art shows, and the like and have enjoyed them all. Wide open spaces that I'm sure are great when no events are scheduled. Love it there for big events.

Whether you want to feed the ducks, or play with your kids and grand-kids, this is the place to go.You'd never know that stores are just across the road - Target, Home Depot. The environment is the best.Of course, there is the magnificent zoo where you can meet the young elephant, Nandi. It was almost a city holiday when she was born. Great for all ages. And cool with all the shade trees. Golf if you want. Perfect for picture taking.
