After driving 2900 miles we finally arrived at the Redington Hideaway which we rented for the month of December in 2015. What we expected was a peaceful and quiet vacation based on the description and photographs from the Tucson Vacation Rentals website.
What we got was a completely inconsiderate neighbor next door that has forty (40) unsupervised dogs that would bark for hours on end. I talked personally to owner of the dogs and he stated that barking is what dogs do and he was not going to stop them. This constant and loud barking was so out of control that our two Greyhounds were terrified to go outside.
I also talked directly to the owner of the Redington Hideway and he was fully aware of the unsupervised dogs next door and the issue with the constant barking. His suggestion was to just yell back at them and it may calm them down. Needless to say I did not do this.
Both the owner and Tucson Vacation Rentals were fully aware of the barking dogs and finally said that they were willing to let us out of the rental contract. The only problem was there was nowhere else to go that was willing to allow pets.
This was hands down the worst vacation rental we have ever had and I would recommend that if you want quiet and solitude to avoid the Redington Hideway like the plague.
