I go back 30+ years with this bakery, and it has been consistently awesome.
Then what prompted me to finally give a review you ask? Was under the weather and a friend from Salem coming to visit asked, can I bring you anything? And the first thing that came to mind was a pastery from Coffee Time.
If it's comfort food it has to be good.
A short list of my favorite offerings....
Raspberry Turnovers (...and others but what is better than a good raspberry filled turnover, except maybe an apple one warmed up.)
Paczki or Polish donoughts. A Tribute to Salems Polish community. Don't see many black clad Babci's walking around anymore. But its nice to have a paczki as a reminder.
Real cream Bismarks, real cream! If you never had one, stop what you're doing and go get on. Blueberry, raspberry, lemon, plain. Get a couple regular to go. But buy a short one and eat it on the spot while it's nice and cold. Trust me on this one.
Cheese Danish, done right.
Lemon bars, Figure 8's, killer muffins and other classics.
And donuts, of course.
So many other things I am leaving out. Fresh squeezed lemon aid, done to order. All kinds of quality items, literally something for everyone.
Holiday specials: Some of the best Irish Soda Bread you can find. Cross buns are tops.
Christmas, Easter (both of them) they got it covered.
Services: Pre-order anything for events. They have a great selection of all kinds of cakes. Sheet cake for kids, or formal cakes for a wedding.
And of course, sit in or quick take out Coffee & Donut.
Just a quick a DD but better quality and way better service.
Dog owners, they have peanut butter treats and other goods for your pup. I haven't tried them myself, but the look good. On a rack when you walk in.
