Great spot for drinks and apps with a view. Had the Texan Paloma and it was refreshing and tasty! Rocco was our waiter and was super friendly and easy going. Our first stop on the river walk, would recommend it!

The food was very good but we should’ve picked a table outside. We were seated in a back room where there were two tables for couples and four large tables for groups. This took away from the enjoyment of our dinner due to the noise level. One table was so loud that our waiter kept apologizing to us for noise. It was too bad because the food was delicious. I suggest if anyone goes to this establishment to ask for outdoor seating.

Because, it's really, really worth getting in anyways! This is really good and authentic Mexican food. The best ingredients executed excellently. Not the same old fare but to those who want something traditional, Acenar will provide a great experience by providing a higher level of quality.

We came in an hour before our dinner reservation to catch happy hour. Cocktails were well made- fresh ingredients and well balanced. Empanadas and queso dip were delicious accompaniments to our drinks. Service was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Drinks and food were served without delay. Dinner was excellent as well. Starters were fish ceviche and queso flameado. Both were very good! We ordered a Parilladas-poquito de todo for four. It came with guacamole, pico de gallo and tortillas. The meats were well seasoned and not salty. Shrimps were a good size, firm and fresh. This dish was more than enough for four people to share.
This restaurant is located along the river walk. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. There is no parking on premises. Valet parking is available at the hotel close by. Public parking is available 2 blocks away. This is the place to visit if you're looking for a quiet place to have good cocktails and Tex Mex food.

We went to the Riverwalk for a meal and based upon the recommendations decided to try Acenar. We were seated on the patio, which was okay but a little dirty and birds everywhere. We opted for the Sample App Plate for $18.95 which was good. There were also complementary chips and good salsa. We also had a Mojito and a Sangria, but the drinks were very weak and not worth the price. $40 total.
