We stayed 3 nights at the Drury Riverwalk in San Antonio during Fiesta San Antonio in April. It was a perfect location to have seats for the River Parade during fiesta and enjoy the beautiful river walk. Also walking distance to the Alamo and Night in Old San Antonio called "NIOSA." Fun food and the people of San Antonio were very enjoyable. The complementary hot breakfast, afternoon snacks and drinks, and evening buffet were very convenient. The Drury is a lovely facility that originally was the old Alamo National Bank. High ceilings throughout, and terrace overlooking the city was a beautiful feature.

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and loved it! It's convenient, located on the Riverwalk and a short walk to Market Square. It's comfortable, the room was spacious and modern in the San Fernando Tower. It's full of amenities, with several courtyards and 2 swimming pools. The rooftop swimming pool was busy on the weekend, making a mid-week stay ideal if you want to escape the pool crowds. The freebies were outstanding - breakfast was great. They had a large selection of breakfast foods available. The 5:30 kick back dinner and drinks was really a nice touch and you could tell that everyone enjoyed it. The staff were some of the best I've seen anywhere - always smiling, helpful, courteous and professional. The only thing I noticed (and a very minor one at that) was the internet signal on the room balcony was weak to nonexistent. Other than that, this hotel gives you more for a lot less than other 'high end' hotels and I'd highly recommend it.

Hotel used to be an old bank. The hotel is well decorated with a vintage feel, just a little dark. The only reason I did not give all 5's because their towels are so flimsy and carpet is in need of replacement.

Located on the River Walk, this hotel met our needs perfectly. Complimentary buffet breakfast with servers and a good variety of choices. Complimentary freshly popped popcorn and soft drinks or coffee between 3-10pm. Complimentary evening buffet with a three drink limit with a good and changing variety--this COULD be your evening meal. We had a king suite and could not have been more pleased. Superb service by housekeeping. Spacious quarters for our stay. Definitely worth it!!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a suite overlooking the River Walk

We stayed at the Dury Plaza for three night while in San Antonio. We were in the Sanfernando tower and it was a pain to get to the room (two elevators and a cross-over hallway) and the room was just okay. The television in the bedroom didn't work and the door on the wardrobe was falling off the hinges.

The hotel was showing it's age and is in need of some renovations - especially the carpet and furniture.

Breakfast was great and the hotel was just around the corner from lots of resturants on the River Walk. Would probably stay somewhere else next trip (newer and closer to the action).

Thank you for your great comment on our Free hot breakfast and convenient Riverwalk location. I certainly understand it is a short walk to our great rooms that overlook the Riverwalk and main plaza. On your next trip to san Antonio please ask for our rooms in the main tower if you like. We will be more than happy to honor your request.

Fortunately our hotel has been extremely busy since its opening in 2007 and we are always upgrading and repairing any items brought to our attention. There has been nothing so far that we cannot promptly repair if notified. Again we are very sorry we did not catch it before you arrived. We hope to see you again and offer any various room type in another location on your next stay in beautiful San Antonio.

Thank you,

Curt Greer

The valet worked jammed our luggage on to one cart instead of using two carts likes we asked. A wheel off our luggage broke and ruined the luggage. The asst hotel manager was useless and ignored the complaint. Stay away!! There are a lot better hotels in San Antonio to stay at!!

Thank you for bringing to our attention again this situation with the luggage. We are very sorry the wheel was somehow broken by putting it on the luggage cart. I believe my assistant manager has been in contact with you trying to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Please return her call and we will be more than happy to get you taken care promptly. If there is anything I can assist with please feel free to call me as well.

We stayed one night, on a Friday to see the Lakers play the Spurs at the AT&T center. We decided to stay at a hotel that was on the River walk, but also fairly close to the venue. We parked the car at the hotel, and paid only $1.30 per person to ride the bus to the stadium. It was a 20 minute ride.

-Service
I was impressed with the service. Everyone looked happy to be there and always happy to help us.

-Room
When we first walked in our room, I felt it was a little dark. The décor wasn’t that great, a southwestern Texan theme. The hutch that held the microwave, drawers, and fridge was great.

The bathroom however was awesome; it had Granite countertops and was super spacious. I would say that bathroom was the best hotel bathroom I have ever seen.
The bed, linens, and towels were okay, but I’m happy they gave a ton of extra which was nice.

-Perks
Loved the pools, whirlpools and terraces but since they open at 9AM and close at 10PM it was hard for us to use.

Breakfast was nice and was setup like a formal banquet buffet. The pancakes and sausage were really good. They had other breakfast items like eggs, and yogurt, in addition to your normal American breakfast fare.

The 5:30 Kick Back was nice; the food was standard: salad, baked potatoes and nachos. Since we had lunch on the River walk, we took some veggies to the room for later. Our favorite part of it was the 3 free cocktails per person per day.

This hotel is on the river walk, it’s accessible but you have to walk about 5-10 minutes to get to the popular part of it.

-Parking
Parking is $19.00, I didn’t mind paying the extra to be sure my car is safe and easily accessible.

This River Walk hotel is a great, offering cool perks at an affordable price. I would recommend the hotel to friends and probably stay here again.
