Clean hotel, breakfast was great, friendly staff. Close to Riverwalk, Alamo,Convention Center and Riverwalk mall. Great to have free wireless and business center to print off boarding passes. No concierge. Great value for money compared to other expensive hotels nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

We truly enjoyed being so close to the river walk and all the shopping avialable. The rooms were clean and well keep. The weather did not allow us to use the pool but the pool setting was beautiful and clean. The free breakfast was a great way to start our day. The location of the hotel was great and with three little girls I felt safe at all times. We parked our cars and had no problems with the parking areas. This location allowed us to walk to all our destinations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great stay.

Room Tip: Our rooms were well keep we stayed. The whole hotel is well lighted and feels very safe.

We are a retired couple on a lengthy road trip ( 6 weeks by the time we got to San Antonio). This La Quinta was booked for it's location plus we obtained an excellent rate using our CAA membership.

It was Spring Break in Texas, the hotel has 15 floors, 348 rooms, 68 Suites and San Antonio is a city that draws in tourists by the bus load! Needless to say the hotel was extremely busy and filled with young families and young adults.

The room we were given was on the 15th floor at the end of the hallway and we felt fortunate to be placed there as we realized just how busy the hotel was going to be. The room itself was large , bed a little soft, reclining chair lovely to have but stained and with out any reading lamp. Overall clean but there was a layer of dust on the desk chair rungs, air conditioner window deflector, and the windows needed cleaning. The wi-fi worked very well as did TV miocrwave and fridge.

The breakfast was actually very good as far as content but as noted by several others who stayed during the Spring Break period it was extremely busy particularly between 8-9 AM when everyone seemed to descend at once. Then the line for hot food and waffles was very long and seationg limited. Anyone who went to breakfast between 7-8 had nothing to complain about.

We found the staff to be pleasant at check in and check out if in spite of being very busy all of the time!

The location was excellent! Within walking distance of the Alamo, River Walk, Shopping. Walking at night we felt safe in the area of the hotel.

Check in went like this: Name? Method of Payment? Sign here. Here's your key. Not welcoming at all! The so called "suite" we got was a joke. It was one room with a couch. Not much of a suite. Free breakfast was also a joke. There were literally hundreds of people lined up across the hotel waiting for their free breakfast. If you simply want a hotel close to the riverwalk and do not care about anything else other than location, this could be a great option. Unfortunately, this hotel has nothing else going for it other than location. Will not stay here again.

We stayed at the La Quinta - Convention Center for a Spring Break family outing. This was probably the 3rd or 4th time we stayed here in the past 4 years. Always quiet. Nice continental breakfast. But this was the first time we went durring Spring Break. Had several male college students staying across the hall from us. All night they took turns coming in and out of their room slamming their door, getting ice from machine in hallway. We and several other neighboring rooms kept calling down stairs for management to tell them to keep it down. No one ever came up. Several hours later, two began fighting in the hallway. We called the front desk again. A security guard came up but the males were already gone. We did not get any sleep that night. Also the continental breakfast setup was in shambles. The waffle maker was covered in waffle batter. There was batter on the floor. Some of the waffle maker handles were missing. I blame all this on the crowds of Spring Break. The other 3 times we stayed here we had no complaints. My wife spoke to the manager, who knows us since we always use them. He did not charge us for our first night and even gave us another free night stay on our next visit. Next time I will tell management to make sure our room is not near college spring breakers. I would recommend this hotel, but if you are traveling with your family, make sure you are put on a floor with other families.

Room Tip: There is a main tower with 15 floors, and the old 3 story wing. Try to get a room in the old wing...
