The Ocra tour was awesome. Our family (wife and 2 kids) is excited a lot and we had lots of fun with a great sight of whales/seals for a longer duration than what I had experienced in other tours. Captain Jim and his crew were amazing.

My son and I spent a few days on San Juan Island for his springbreak this year. We decided to take the Whale Watching trip from Maya's Legacy Whale Watching after talking with Rachel who was very helpful in planning the trip.

Captain Alan and April (the Naturalist) were both fantastic. While it took us a little while to find the Orca, it was well worth the effort. Both of them were very knowledgeable about the specific pods that we saw and could identify specific Orca with the briefest glimpse of one breaching the surface. I think that we saw around 18-20 different Orca. Most of them were in twos and threes, playing and traveling together. There were Moms and kids, Orphans who became 'Frat' brothers, and several other groupings. April was Fantastic at describing the Orca world and helping us understand the ecosystem and how it works. It was very clear that she 'loves' the Orca and it showed in her enthusiasm. She was Great! I highly recommend taking this trip!!! Jeff & Jason

Spencer, Rachel and Zoe were the best! We had the best time and saw many Orca whales, seals, birds and other ocean life! It was an exceptional tour with amazing guides. We HIGHLY recommend Legacy! They are unsurpassed in customer service and just simply great people! Can’t wait to go again!

Captain Jim and his assistant April, were great. This was a very exciting trip, my wife and I were celebrating our 2 yr anniversary and neither of us had seen Orcas in the wild on such a trip. March usually isn't the best time to find Orcas, but this crew had the vast knowledge and experience and patience to seek them out. And so we did we so many Orcas in our tour and other wildlife. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has never been. A safe and powerful boat on a beautiful weekend out of Snug Harbor!!

We visited San Juan Island over the Christmas holidays. Six of us went on a tour on Dec. 27th, knowing full well that we would see wildlife, but might not see whales. Had a great time - saw many seals & sea lions, birds, the islands, learned a lot about the ecology & geology, and even saw a harbor porpoise. The crew definitely did their darnedest to find us cetaceans - even to the point of circumnavigating the whole island! Money well spent - the sea lion chorus in the south strait was wonderful!

THEN... 4 days later, we get a text... "Orcas along west side of island!" We just happened to be driving there and got to see them! The next day, on our LAST drive down the west coast, we got another text..."Orcas off Friday Harbor. If you can get to the boat quickly, we'll take you out." AND THEY DID &...WE SAW A POD OF 10!!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Captain Jeff and Sarah for an absolutely fabulous New Year's experience!
