My family stopped here for lunch on June 17th while touring the San Juan Islands. We decided to grab a bite before boarding the ferry to Orcas Island and based on a brochure/travel guide description chose this place. Service at the counter was fine but our food was seriously disappointing. We each got a cup of soup, trying both the clam chowder and the tomato bisque. Neither tasted homemade. We also had sandwiches, a crab special and Lopez which were sadly pretty awful. The crab sandwich was a mix of seafood, artichokes and tasted like pure mayo, the bread was cut too think and the sandwich itself was just soggy. It's also piled high with shredded romaine lettuce which adds no flavor or texture. The Lopez looked delicious but was bland and also soggy. It too was piled high with shredded romaine. Our total was around $42 for 2 full sandwiches, 1 half sandwich, 3 cups of soup, and 2 fountain drinks. None of us enjoyed our food so it didn't seem like a very good value.
The atmosphere is fine, nothing special inside, a nice view outside or if you are by a window. Overall I think there must be many other options for lunch on the island or even down the street and would recommend travelers dine elsewhere.
