Great costume party on the plaza with good music and lights that the kids loved. Was real fun!! Would go again!
The Santa Fe plaza is the heart & soul of this town, great for people watching, finding good and interesting places to eat, shopping, listening to music or just taking a break and enjoying a beautiful place, not too be missed!!
The Plaza Bandstand features amazing bands all summer long! Felix Y Los Gatos, JJ and the Hooligans, Felecia Ford, The Hollyhocks, Karina Wilson, John Kurzwig, Jono Manson, Bizzy McCaroll, Dale Watson, Marcia Ball, The Mavericks, holy cow, the list goes on forever!
i thoroughly enjoy stopping at the plaza while visiting santa fe every year. on a recent visit, we enjoyed a classic car show. local musicians played on the stage, and food carts offered a variety of food and ice cream. the native american market is a must visit and the cathedral of st. francis of assisi is a short walk. be selective when shopping, however. some stores have stellar selections of authentic native american jewelry so if you're in the market, shop wisely.
The Santa Fe Plaza is the nucleus of Santa Fe. It serves many different purposes. At Indian and Spanish Markets and other festivities it is a bustling, people, music and booth filled place. Yet without these special occasions it is a serene, beautiful place to just sit, think, people watch and relax. As an aside there are a few paintings in the New Mexico Art Museum that show the Plaza in its various historical stages.
You can't miss it for walking around old Santa Fe. Grab a cold drink and sit on a park bench and take it all in.
