The room was amazing with a sitting area. Very clean and comfortable. The pool area was great for my family- the children loved the pool and we loved the hot tub. The hotel staff were very quick to respond to any of our needs. The breakfast in the morning was amazing as well. The location is great if you are hoping to be near the Interstate- my only complaint is that the downtown area is quite a ways away although there is a shuttle every hour leaving from the hotel.

If good design is your thing, the Hyatt Place design (the same everywhere you go) will wow you. The rooms are all suite-style, but that makes the bedroom rather small and the bathroom tiny. My main complaint was the strange arrangement of lighting--and all of it high watt, so that if someone wanted to read in the living room, it would flood the bedroom with light Likewise if a person is using the sink area, which is actually part of the bedroom, it is flooded with light. Nevertheless, the room is beautiful, the beds super comfortable and furnished with a lovely duvet. We thought the breakfast was adequate--a continental breakfast, and if you want more you can purchase egg and meat breakfasts. The small meals and snacks served in the cafe are pricey, but it is a very pleasant place, and I appreciated having free Wifi throughout the hotel. The Santa Fe Hyatt Place is far away from the main tourist haunts of the Plaza and Museum Hill, but right next to a huge shopping center. And the hotel shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles which includes the train station for the new Roadrunner train that you can take downtown Santa Fe or all the way to the Albuquerque airport.

Room Tip: They are all the same, and I did not notice if some had better views.

We stayed at this hotel twice recently. once on our way to Thanksgiving and once on our way back. Both times our reservation was messed up and the staff was not helpful at all. The staff could not run the computer to check us in and needed serveral people to help both times. Our rooms were messed up both times and the staff did not seem to care or willing to do anything about the mistakes. The rooms were also very loud. The refrigerators in both rooms were extremely loud and kept us up alot of the night. All in all the hotel itself is not bad and was not very expensive. But overall we had two bad expierences with the service and I would not recommend this hotel in general. There is probably better places for you to stay in Santa Fe.

Room Tip: If you need a joining room make sure and double confirm you can get a joining room.

Thank you for your review of the Hyatt Place Santa Fe. Unfortunately, when guests book their reservation through a third party site such as Expedia or Travelocity their reservation is considered a request for room types, not gauranteed. The adjoining rooms you requested was just that- a request. Unfortunately, during the holiday weekend we were not able to accomodate you but gave you rooms right across the hall from each other. We apologize that this upset you and ask that you give us another try again on a visit to the Santa Fe area.

The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful through our stay. The facility was like new everywhere - squeaky clean. Our room was very quiet even though on something of a main drag. I have two minor complaints. First, the "quick snack" food choices at the front were more limited than most Hyatt Place's I've stayed. This location had not chips, pretzels, etc at all. Important when you travel with young kids. Second minor issue is the ac/heat fan only had a turbo mode. Many places let you choose a fan speed. This one only had a high speed setting that was a bit loud. It didn't keep us awake but was a bit annoying. To sum up we would definitely consider staying here again.

Thank you for your comments. Im pleased that the staff did try to accomodate you and you found your accommodations satisfying. We do have snack items available but our Grab and Go cooler in the lobby is refrigerated and therefore we do not stock dry goods in this area. Im sorry that the staff did not offer these alternatives to you.
We appreciate your kind remarks and are pleased that you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Arriving late into Sante Fe we were just looking for a room for the night - clean and reasonably priced. We actually wondered into one or two other places that just didn't fit and walked into the Hyatt Place only to be offered a great rate in what felt like a nearly brand new property with lots of pluses. Breakfast was included, had an indoor hot tub, free shuttle to town, super friendly staff and very tastefully decorated - felt clean! So we took the room for the night. When we walked into we were pleasantly surprised to be in a very well appointed suite - complete with a sectional sofa, granite bar and mini frige, desk and work area, huge flat screen TV that swiveled to be seen from the sitting area or from bed. And a space divider to separate the two areas of the room. It was a clean and spacious room and worth our time and effort of shopping around that night. In fact, we ended up staying on for a second night because it was such a nice little place. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this Hotel for an evening with our Family and the adjoining rooms we had reserved were not "reserved" for us upon arrival. We had to wait about thirty minutes to get checked-in and were given the wrong key cards when we got to our room. The attendant was overwhelmed since there was a few of us checking in for a wedding that evening. Upon arrival to the rooms both Bathrooms were not clean and with "hair" on the floor and the other bathroom had "hair" on the floor and in the shower. There was only one hair dryer and one set of towels. Because we had no time to call & wait for service I cleaned the area myself since I had a toddler in tow and hungry family members who were waiting to clean-up and leave. We ended up missing the wedding ceremony because of all the confusion and checking in and waiting for key cards.
Upon leaving the Hotel only to find that my daughter had been bitten on the cheek by little red ants that were in the Hotel room on the window seal and in the sheets of the bed. Our Nanny noticed them and ended up sleeping in the couch area instead of the bed. This is a lovely Hotel if it were managed properly....I was appalled how the manager did not seem to care but only apologized once I told her how I felt. I would never stay at the this Hotel again and since there are others in the area--I will most gladly stay there.
