Description: Known as Santa Fe's oldest restaurant, the Plaza Cafe serves highly acclaimed, authentic traditional dishes since 1905. Located on the historic Santa Fe Plaza, you won't find a better view or atmosphere while you enjoy an authentic New Mexican experience. The Razatos family keeps with the traditional cooking methods and flavor combinations of New Mexico and additional recipes from Greece, all the while keeping with the classic American diner experience. This is why you'll find everything from blue corn green chile carne asada enchiladas with a warm pillowy sopaipilla to chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a gyro with a Greek salad on the side. The Plaza Cafe is a favorite among locals and movie stars alike, and everything finds what they are looking for at the Plaza.

I've been to Santa Fe 6-7 times and have been known to eat here 4 times in a 3 day trip :) The best pose I've had anywhere. We brought some home to have for dinner in our hotel room in Santa Rosa on the way home. If you are there for breakfast, do try the Harvest oatmeal.

Plaza Cafe is as delicious as it is convenient to Santa Fe’s downtown attractions. Staff are friendly and efficient in moving through a large number of diners. The pumpkin chorizo posole is a seasonal item and to die for- spicy in all the rights ways. Dessert is also amazing. Recommend the tres leches cake or the coconut cream pie made gluten free by a shredded coconut crust.

We shared dinner with a friend (who lives in Santa Fe) after a day of hiking. The food was plentiful, spicy, satisfying, and arrived amazingly quickly. When we needed to quickly eat lunch before the next day's hike, we returned to the Plaza. This is a reliable restaurant for delicious New Mexican cuisine, and the service is amazingly efficient. I love the decor.

The staff are super nice & efficient...they are always clearing tables and tidying in an unobtrusive way. Its refreshing to see that level of cleanliness at any restaurant. Clean floors, tables, windows, mirrors and restrooms...that is impressive compared to many places where we eat in Santa Fe.

The food is still truly delicious. There are varying specials on the menu each day. There are NM specialities, burgers, salads and kid friendly choices. The Plaza is a Santa Fe institution and has been in business for years and years for good reason. Its location right on the Plaza is a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or to take a coffee or dessert break between bouts of shopping.

We try to stop here every time we travel from Saskatchewan through to Arizona. The food is always very good. We try to make it for breakfast. Today we had lunch. There is always a full house. Today we shared a club house sandwich and a large bowl of their specialty pumpkin soup. Soooo good! The coffee is always fresh and good. Friendly staff. We will be back again on our return trip. Highly recommend! Love this place.
