& i got hit up for a CC# at check-in, even tho it was a choice privileges redemption night.-for 'incidentals' (tho no incidentals are for sale)-no business center (which i presume means a lobby PC), breakfast was svenhards danishes, coffee, tea, etc, activia yogurt, and whatnot. juice, and so forth, better than many econo lodges, but god, id like to see a(full size) donut at a hotel breakfast once in a while once in a while.--this isnt a knock on the peroperty, just something that I feel needed to be said.rooms were clean,. the carpet in the hall was a bit traveled, but not hazardous, and they seemed to have a fair portion of HC rooms available from what i could see, based on the spaces in the parking lotl striped to that effect.in room coffee, micro in lobby, and the rooms had safes, but i wasnt hit up for a safe fee.the door numbers on the wall looked like they were formerly at a la quinta,-for all i know this was a LQ once upon a time.interior corridors, hot tub worked but box sauna was out of order, pool was heated.-both were briefly closed when I checked in, but in order by 6pm.--I would like to address the poster who mentioned the neighboring 'trashy trailer park'.(both parks, actually) dude, its a 55+ community, and frankly, they were there FIRST. not to mention theres some great folk art for sale in front of that park.if you dont like funky freaky weird, wtf ru doing in santa fe, (or NM ,for that matter-its an artistic state of mind-sheesh). i

if you rode the railrunner from ABQ-yoru ticket=complimentary fare on santa fe trails local bus service, which stops in front of the hotel, every 15 minutes or so, m-f 6am-9pm. overall a good property.the only blip I found, was it was blessedly difficult to locate HBO on the teevee.

Carpet has cigarettes burns, toilet kept blocking which required my husband to use a plunger each time we needed to go to the toilet. On leaving the next day, let staff know about toilet problem, was told manager will contact me, still waiting, it's now been a month later. Yuk, plenty other hotels around, pay the extra stay next door at the holiday inn.

I did alot of traveling on my roadtrip and was really excited that I found a hotel with an indoor heated pool and a hot tub.

I give this place four stars because of what I just mentioned.

Room was quiet, bed and pillows were comfortable, and room was clean.

Overall was happy. I would stay again if in the area.

We made a reservation online and when we arrived we had everything ready. Very fast and easy check in. We asked for advice in the front desk and the guy was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good with coffee, juices, tea, waffles, toast, muffins, cereals and bread. They have a big swiming pool. The hotel needs some repai, but room was working and was clean. I will stay again there.

The actual hotel was not bad. The breakfast in the morning was minimal, but for the price I expected this. The management was terrible. One of the managers actually fought with me over the price I was quoted online for my reservation and what they wanted to charge me. He wouldn't listen and wouldn't help...really bad customer service...especially since the difference was only $4 :-( These Choice hotel/motels need to learn some customer service!

Previous reviews of this hotel are startlingly different.

In my view, the positives are that the rooms are spacious, reasonably (if not spotlessly) clean. The beds were comfortable, there was a table to read at and a safe in the room. The bathroom and water pressure were fine. The hotel pool was also well maintained and a real plus at a budget hotel. There are plenty of eating options within walking distance and driving into downtown was straight forward.

The negatives all seem to come from the management, which does very little to raise housekeeping standards. Our room wasn’t cleaned one day, the breakfast area was inadequately small and the manager looked on as it became strewn with crumbs and associated debris. The trash cans were also left over-flowing. When a cleaner did finally come along, his uniform was so dirty that you doubted his commitment to hygiene.

With just a little more effort this hotel could do much better.

OK, I was duped into thinking this would be a reasonable place to stay for a long weekend with my wife. After reading the reviews which gave favorable comments, I thought, hey, this sounds like it might place might just be OK. NOT!!! This hotel is tired and worn and there is no signs that current owner/management has any interest or cares what it looks like. Granted, it is an inexpensive place to stay compared to other hotels near by. Granted it is after all an Econo Lodge, a no frills chain. However, what it is, is a hotel that has disgustingly filthy carpet in the hallways, non-smoking rooms that have been violated with smokers, the back entry security door is more often than not held open with a rock so anyone can gain entry......and not to mention the sleaze balls that hang outside smoking who knows what. And that is only the start of the many problems with this hotel. What isn't mentioned or shown is the trashy trailer park just on the other side of the fence of the parking lot area. The rooms need updating, the bed are awful, the bathrooms need attention.....I couldn't drive away fast enough on my check out day. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the hotel, they had to be taken on the day this hotel opened. Don't make my mistake, spend a few dollars more somewhere else!!
