Sequoia RV Ranch
Reviewed 5 July 2017

This is not a pretty campground, but its location was convenient as Sequoia and King's Canyon are just a few miles up the road.

At check-in, we had a bit of discussion regarding the price, as the one they quoted me when I reserved my "premium" Pull-thru site in February, but we got it mostly resolved.

Our site (45) was level, but we had no patio...just dirt and gravel. We did have a picnic table..which was covered with some previous occupants melted Smores ingredients. We also had a fire ring of sorts, although it was too hot to even consider building a fire. Cable was OK, but only 12 channels. WI-FI could be slow at times but was good. There is a dog park, but it located so far from the camping area that you might want to DRIVE your dogs there in your towed if you have one !
While we didn't swim, there is a small river that flows behind the park and it has a swimming area. The kids seemed to enjoy it.

Room Tip: If you're here in the summer, make sure you get a site that's under trees and facing east.

Thank you taking time to post a review. We are happy to hear that most of your issues were worked out. Most campers enjoy the huge trees , the river and the swimming hole which is part of the natural surroundings. Our visitors with pets like to take a little walk to the dog park as part of exercising their dog.

We stayed here to visit the national parks. We had two different river front spots over our three day stay. The river was very cool, refreshing, and relaxing. Great swimming hole too. Office staff on weekend seemed a little overwhelmed. Short drive to Three Rivers restaurants, market, gas, shopping, and ice cream.

We booked two nights here as part of our US road trip. We had no prior knowledge about the area, but we just loved it! The ranch staff are all very friendly, and the on-site dog Duke is super cute.

On our first evening we had a nice little stroll by the river, and went for dinner at nearby restaurant River View (would recommend).

We headed up to the National Park the following day, we actually used the bus service which was convenient - it picks up from the museum just down the road.

Toilets were always clean and overall a great stay. Hope to come back one day!

I can't say enough about this campground! We booked a deluxe river back-in site about 7 months before our arrival. I'm so glad we did. The site was huge, level, well shaded, and was a few steps from the river. The river was clean, clear, and shallow, with a nice swimming hole nearby. The campground is quiet and is a short drive from the Sequoia National Park. You have to pay for showers, but they are clean and nice. I plan to come here again!

We are pleased that you had such a wonderful experience at Sequoia RV Ranch. So many people enjoy the river spots as well as the swimming hole, especially this time of year. We are glad that you plan to join us again. It is especially nice in the fall and in the spring when the weather is a little cooler and the park is less crowded.

This is a nice little park in a rather out-of-the-way location about 2 miles off Hwy 198. We spent four nights in a 35' 5th wheel in a water/sewer spot. Our view was of the neighboring mobile home site, not the river. We were given an accurate description of the location so we knew what we were getting. The back-in spots by the river book up well in advance, so if you want to go to sleep to the sound of running water, book early.
We just used this as a sleep-over to tour Sequoia/Kings Canyon NPs. Lodging in the park is VERY expensive and books up early, hence despite the drive up the twisty road up the mountain, it was worth it to stay here. Driving up the road, though with a lot of turns, provides great vistas of the valley and the mountains.

Great location for visiting sequoia national park. We loved our spot on the river. The rustic setting on the river makes this RV park great. We loved sitting outside with the sound of the river and our dogs loved being able to swim right at our site. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the dumpsters. We stayed for three nights and the two sets of dumpsters were full when we arrived and really full when we left. They smelled bad and we kept thinking they would be emptied but never were. If you stay here try to get a river site.

So glad you had a positive experience. Our summer months are so busy it's difficult to get more frequent trash pickups, but thank you for bringing it to our attention. Hope you'll come again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Nice campground, clean, quiet. Laundry & clean bathrooms & showers. The sites are gravel. There are some sites on the river, which we were lucky enough to reserve.
This is a good base camp for Sequoia NP. The entrance is only a few miles away from the South entrance.
