The site lacks adequate toilet facilities for the number of tent and RV Campers. two toilets near the office have a shower in them also. So if people are taking showers, others are standing in line to use a toilet. If the company thinks this is acceptable, maybe they should close the office bathrooms and stand in line with the campers outside. Ice is $4.00 for a 7 lb. bag, pretty gouging. Drive to the Shell station and get 20 ponds of ice for $6.00.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm hoping you were aware that we have another larger bathhouse facility that has separate toilets and showers. The two bathrooms you are referring to are newer and originally built as an overflow facility. We don't make money on the ice as we purchase it from the store in town and provide it as a convenience to our campers.

Sequoia RV ranch was the best campground on our holiday through California, Arizona and Utah. We had a great spot beside the river, and there are a lot californians camping out here, so it's easy to connect to locals. There's no swimming pool, but there's a great spot in the river where there's kind of a natural pool, with enough room for all campers to swim.
Lots of woodpeckers and other birds live in the trees, making it fun to walk the grounds.

We stayed here as a starting point to visit Sequoia National Park. It's difficult (and during our stay even prohibited due to road work) to drive an RV of more than 22ft into the park, so your best bet is reserve the shuttle bus for $15 pp to take you to the park and back. It's a winding 1,5 hour climb over small roads, and we were glad to let the shuttle driver handle it. Once in the park, there are free shuttles to all the spots.

Thank you so much for taking time from your trip to post your review. We are so happy to hear that our campground was among your favorites. You were very wise to take the shuttle, as it's much more relaxing and for $15 per person it's a great deal. We sure hope you come back and visit us again sometime.

The office personnel get 6 stars! We had issues with our rig and had to call around and eventually leave for repairs. Our rig is going to take a few days to get fixed so now we are in hotels. They refunded our unused nights without even asking! A lot of places won't do this.
3 stars on the park. It's all gravel sites and the sites are pretty close together. My hookups were within a foot of my neighbors picnic table. Good thing they weren't out eating while I was dumping the tanks. The river sites are the best. They do have fire rings which are a plus. There is also quite a bit of shade. The park is right up the road so it doesn't get much closer for RVs.
This is an ok park. I've stayed at better and I've stayed at worse. I'm not sure I've met friendlier office folk.

Thank you so much for your positive comments on our staff. We feel they do a tremendous job, especially when the summer months get so busy. We have so many different sizes of RV sites and try to match it up as best we can with the size of your rig. However, in the summer it's a lot more difficult to do that. We hope you come back again and stay on the river. These, of course, are the most popular sites and have a lot of space with the river right outside your door.

Let me start by saying the place isn't bad, it just isn't pretty and not at all big rig friendly. We have a 40 footer and it's tight and one of those "must love thy neighbor" parks. (They had to come move our rock fire pit as it was way to close to the rig...says it happens a lot)
Whoever did their website should get an Academy Award for best website in a supporting role. It's not as pretty as the website.
In fact it's not pretty at all.
Now let me give you the pluses.
The staff and people who run the joint could not be any friendlier and location, location, location. Just a jaunt up the highway and your in Sequoia NP.
If you are going to come get a river spot. They are nice, they are laid out so you don't feel like you are on top of each other.
Satellite users....you are going to have a hard time getting a signal unless you have a portable dish. Roof mounted are going to be tree blocked in all the 50 amp spaces for sure and most of the 30 amp spots.

We appreciate you taking time to post your review. One of the things that attracted us to purchasing this RV park was its beauty. We loved the river, the beautiful trees, the view of the mountains and all of the wildlife. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder . We are pleased that you found our staff helpful and friendly. They are the best.

This is not a pretty campground, but its location was convenient as Sequoia and King's Canyon are just a few miles up the road.

At check-in, we had a bit of discussion regarding the price, as the one they quoted me when I reserved my "premium" Pull-thru site in February, but we got it mostly resolved.

Our site (45) was level, but we had no patio...just dirt and gravel. We did have a picnic table..which was covered with some previous occupants melted Smores ingredients. We also had a fire ring of sorts, although it was too hot to even consider building a fire. Cable was OK, but only 12 channels. WI-FI could be slow at times but was good. There is a dog park, but it located so far from the camping area that you might want to DRIVE your dogs there in your towed if you have one !
While we didn't swim, there is a small river that flows behind the park and it has a swimming area. The kids seemed to enjoy it.

Room Tip: If you're here in the summer, make sure you get a site that's under trees and facing east.

Thank you taking time to post a review. We are happy to hear that most of your issues were worked out. Most campers enjoy the huge trees , the river and the swimming hole which is part of the natural surroundings. Our visitors with pets like to take a little walk to the dog park as part of exercising their dog.
