Stayed here with 2 girlfriends back in 2013. We enjoyed it very much, nice location. very peaceful. the cabin was a good size just for us 3. one bedroom had two bunkbeds and the other had a queen sized bed. kitchen was enough for us to prepare a few meals on. the cabin had a lovely porch and deck, which was wonderful for eating dinner at sunset. We went to luray caverns one day, and hiking in shenandoah the next. it was convenient for both. and we were able to buy our tickets for the caverns at the cabin so that saved us from standing in line. The office also had a selection of board games you could rent out to play. Great place for an outdoors weekend trip.

We live in a "historic country" area of northern VA, although, on the edge of the hustle & bustle of the suburbs. After enjoying a few nights at Country Waye Luray in our Motor Home, we contracted a spot for the entire season and bought a new travel trailer to leave there. We did not go there for the purpose of finding a getaway spot, our decision to do so was entirely based on the beauty, cleanliness, & incredible views of this KOA RV resort. Small enough to be peaceful and quiet, yet large enough for two new pools that are rarely busy, a fenced dog park, & country roads for bike rides, this is the perfect place for getaways from anywhere around DC. The mountain views are spectacular, there are farms one all 3 sides where you will delightfully watch the sheep & baby lambs play. The resort has several deluxe cabin rentals and a beautiful new Yurt, if you want a special treat, try the Yurt. The wonderful, friendly people that work there; Peter, Jeff, Jennifer, Catherine and all the others, are another bonus, they do their very best to insure an enjoyable stay. If you like being minutes from the Shenandoah River, enjoy peace & quiet, meticulous grounds, grand views, and genuine nice hosts, this is the place for you!

This KOA sits atop a hill will beautiful vistas. The sites are all very well maintained. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Great bathrooms, friendly staff and wonderful dog park.
We would stay here again!

Room tip: This campground is outside of town, kind of remote.

It's a KOA so we didn't expect much. You must know when you read this review, we camped here in November, last few days it's open and I've just graduated from tent camping to "mostly off the grid Boler" camping so we're used to looking for the ultimate quite. This place is away from noisy highways (ok you can hear the busy road but it's distant) the bathrooms are very clean and the showers are hot. It is mostly large RVs but it's well situated raised in a fielded area with views of the surrounding mountains. I called as we were sat in our car outside the office after office hours and Jenifer was curt but helpful, she had prepared papers left out on a bulletin board with a map and the available sites highlighted and the price clearly indicated on top As many others have said 60$/night is steep and we would not want to stay too long but it was nice to "recharge our batteries" for a couple nights. I've not given it 5 stars for the price.

Room tip: Sites around the perimeter of the grounds have the best views

Very neat & clean RV park & campground. In the midst of surrounding farms. Private, level, easily accessible sites. Tent sites & yurts as well. Lots of trees and grass; very pleasant. Minutes to Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns. Poor wifi. No cable.
