BE CAREFUL driving up and down to get to the trail, especially after dark!

Easiest "hike" ever. I think it may be wheel-chair accessible. I'm not entirely sure as I haven't visited for a while. But I don't remember any stairs (though the incline may require someone to push you). You drive up to an parking area about a quarter-mile-ish from the lookout. If you're brave you can go off the side to the observation deck and roam around the side of the mountain, there's a rock underneath the observation deck you can stand on. Of course, don't risk your safety or anything.

We did this hike to see the sunset and it did not disappoint. You want to leave before the sun goes down too far but it is a great easier hike that ends in a breathtaking view.

What a great hike even with 8 & 11 year olds! It was less than a mile from the parking to the summit woth breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley! 360 degrees of pure nature beauty!

At the beginning of the trail is a box containing a booklet with points of interest along the hike. I thought that the information enhanced the hike with some history (like the copper mine along the trail) and nature notes. And yes, the views at the summit are spectacular!

DO NOT go to the address Google gives you in Marksville VA, as it will lead you to a farm way away from where you want to be. Instead put in the address for Shenandoah National Park or find the crossstreet of Skyline Drive and Stony Man.
It costs 25 dollars per car to enter park where trails are located. Located in Shenandoah National Park with many different trail options. Stony Man has two different options, one longer and one shorter. The shorter one (little stony man) is about .9 miles round trip. It is a little rocky and steep in some places but overall easy and the view at the top is definitely worth it. Little stony man hike is great for all skill levels. Definitely recommend.
