Becky and David’s place made our trip to SNP so memorable. The cabin is ultra clean, well kept, and spacious. Enough for 6 members. The view of the mountains is really grand as the name suggests. We will definitely come back. Becky is courteous host and non-intrusive. Thanks to Becky and David.
Purpose of trip was to spend a weekend with our daughter and used Luray, Virginia as a mid way meeting point. We chose Grand View Cabin based on the area and the photo's of the cabin itself. First, I would say that the Grand View cabin itself was spotless, very roomy with great amenities and obviously a great view of the valley and mountains. Becky and David were wonderful to work with, they contacted us via email regularly before our trip, made sure any and all question were answered including written directions in case the GPS failed. Could not ask for friendlier or better hosts. Second, Luray Virginia is beautiful, Luray Caverns are a must as well.
You can rest assured, this cabin as well as Becky and David's hospitality, will provide a pleasurable trip and one to be remembered.

We found the cabin neat and clean. The wrap around porch was great for Viewing the mountains. It was fine as a base to relax or explore the area.
The location is wonderful we come from lower De and we have beaches but we wanted mountains and we got everything we asked for a rental that was clean everything you needed was there even a Jacuzzi tub and you can relax to music and a view we had a great time and David and Becky are great people!
This was a great meeting location for me and my friends, as we came from Pa, Md, and Va. The house was clean and well-kept. The wrap around porch looking out over the hillside helped us to see the meteor shower! We enjoyed s'mores over the firepit and enjoyed all of the outside seating areas.
The electric griddle was perfect for making pancakes to order. The house was a short drive from Luray Caverns. I am sorry that the fall foliage was not at its peak, but the views were still wonderful. We would definitely return!
It feels close enough to Luray to easily get what you need and close enough to Shendoah to hike. Of course it is also close to Luray Caverns which was worth the $23 cost. We did not do the river trip which was a regret but in Oct the river is not high. The location of Grandview gives you a feeling of remoteness even though you are not that far off the beaten track. I liked the spotless Pergo wood floors in the main area and clean, newer carpet in the bedrooms.
Relaxing home base for a golfing trip with a great view from the porch on a clear day. Having a fire pit and grill was a huge plus and made the nights more fun. The cabin is in good condition and comfortably slept 5. The only slight criticism I have is that the fire pit may be better in a different location since it is currently propped up with rocks on angled ground. I really hope the cabin is available next time I travel to the area as it was a perfect fit!
