Panjabi Tadka is a small restaurant in the north end of downtown Springfield. The aroma of Indian spices assault your nose as soon as you enter the restaurant. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive and has the classic appetizers and entrees you expect at an Indian restaurant. The veggie pakora, meat-filled samosas, curries and lamb dishes are all excellent. Just had lunch there eating my favorite, the Keema Mattar, made of ground lamb, green peas, coriander and ginger. The serving is very large for lunch so I always get two or three meals out of it. It is moderately priced at $8.00. The garlic naan is also excellent.
