If somebody tells you that an amazing steak is available for $40 and easily serves two - believe them. Add a generous side of potato for $9 and you have a great dinner.

Steak with a well seasoned crust, watercress garnish, salsa verde and a really good demi-glaze. We were blown away as that is pizza money in Honolulu.

Michael and his team know how to work a restaurant.

The final surprise was a happy hour Portuguese vinho verde full of fresh flavours and a slightly frizzante aftertaste for $8 a glass.

I doubt that Ravish set out to be the cheapest in town as it clearly is a five star establishment, but they have seamlessly coupled quality and value. Well done.

An extremely pleasant and relaxed evening out can be found at Ravish, thanks to the spectacular food, amazing location and great service.

The flavours and presentation of the dishes were great, and we tried pork, beef, lamb and shrimp which were all superb.

Relaxing on the outdoor deck as the sun set made us appreciate the restaurant, the well-appointed Modern hotel, and of course Waikiki where it’s located. Can’t wait to return!

We went on a Friday night so we could see the fireworks (which were great) and to celebrate my friends 40th. We couldn't of been more disappointed with the food and experience.
The menu is big and offers a lot of choice with no stand out signature dishes.
We ordered
- Matcha Pork Bau Buns. The nicest dish we had. Warm and light for pork belly. If only they'd used local rather than Aussie pork.
- Beef cheek croquettes and Kimchi.
Arrived cold and solid. The mayonnaise had no kimchi taste to cut through the stodge.
- Ahi Rillette. So dry we couldn't eat it. Was like they'd up turned a can of fish onto a plate.
We complained and got no response from staff. We then ordered our entree. Given the hit and miss nature of the appetisers we decided to play it safe with the steak, which we asked to be medium rare, and cauliflower gratin. The steak arrived overcooked and cold! The gratin was cold and not grilled, just lumps of cold cream cheese over soggy cauliflower. Again we mentioned this to wait staff. No response. Along with some drinks mistakes we were pretty shocked by the size of the bill given the quality of food. The sushi menu may be better. If so I'd recommend just sticking to that. We would not recommend instead watch the fireworks from the pool bar and save yourself money and disappointment.

The food was amazing, the ambience was great. We enjoyed ourselves so much. There was a fireworks show (every Friday at 745pm) during our dinner. The waitress that waited on us was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
