“Warning about the cashier!”

We shopped here a few times and twice we found the cashier was negligent in how things were rung up at the till. Prices were somewhat better than the ABC stores, so we just had to be watchful at the till. Also, we told her we didn't want a bag. We didn't get a bag, but then she charged us for a bag. I think they must think it's a game about how much they can rip tourists off for. She had mis-rung some items in twice. I caught her, but then she tried to scan as a refund a completely different and cheaper item while taking the one item we had paid for out of our purchases.

Great variety of foods/drinks and even souvenirs - we loved going in here and coming out with something we would not even thought would be in a supermarket! Staff friendly!

After checking into our Waikiki accommodation, we walked to the Food Pantry to stock up on the basics, like sodas, bottle water, and paper towels. The location on the east end of Waikiki was ideal. The selection of basic groceries, toiletries, and household items was good. We also bought some sushi for picnic dinner; it was ok, but not great, perhaps because it was late in the day.

We did some comparison shopping at Walmart and Don Quijote and found the Food Pantry was very reasonable and not worth going to the other 2 for the odd better priced items. In fact, a lot of the groceries we purchased was even better

Near our hotel and closer than going by shuttle or car to the Walmart or Target.
Prices are within reason and selection is good. We had a kitchenette and breakfast items were available.
Meats were available and sales items were reasonable.
The nice thing about the neighbourhood is that everything is near and within price range if you explore the possibilities.
