The restaurant serves excellent sushi and other Japanese dishes at reasonable prices. Food quality is average, but it's all tasty and definitely worth a try. The a atmosphere is lively and the restaurant is open late, so even if you get a late night craving you can head over here to enjoy. The lunch specials are excellent as well! Do not miss going here!

This Japanese restaurant is near the convention center and worth seeking out. As the menu explains, the dishes are intended to be shared so the portions are small. Every item is new and different, filled with flavor and creative touches. They offer a good variety of sushi and sashimi, fried rice that cooks at your table and innovative entrees. The dessert is a house specialty so be certain to save room! For saki aficionados, they have a 4-glass sampler; cocktails are common island fare. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and reasonable prices.

They have house made fresh tofu and it was really creamy and fresh. Topped with green onions and served warm. Delicious.

Visiting from Utah, we met some local friends for dinner. We tried some house specialties as well as some more traditional plates. The sushi pizza was a spin off off a “baked sushi” dish we were familiar with, and the tofu was excellent. The “Toast” dessert was very tasty. Our server was friendly and informative.
A little pricey but overall a great dinner, and our friends (locals) recommended going there.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Shokudo. Since we arrived between lunch and dinner it was not crowded and our server was just the perfect mix of informed, helpful, attentive, and not over-bearing. They have some eclectic offerings that were quite tasty. We enjoyed the karrage chicken, the spicy tuna crispy rice which had fish and jalapeño topping, as well as a paper thin char sui pork that was “melt in your mouth” tender. Since I LOVE unagi, I enjoyed the nigiri sushi with it as well as the caterpillar roll.
