We were visiting Cincinnati for the first time to attend a college graduation.
Our flight was delayed....we called the restaurant and they were so nice and accommodating to hold a table especially on a Friday night. When we arrived, late, they sat us right away. We were surprised at how good the food, drinks and service was. The duck and the crème brulee were exactly how I wanted them to taste. Such a great experience...thank you!

Wow, this was superb. Business lunch downtown. The setting, decor, class, details.... wow Jean Robert does it right. Smoked Salmon appetizer and Lobster Bisque were both spot on. In fact the Bisque is so rich and filling it is a meal in itself. The Niçoise salad with two types of tuna was tasty with great texture as were the tasty fish cakes. Well composed and presented, perfectly cooked. Cod was fish of the day in a broth with veggies and potatoes. Decadent and very tasty with deep flavors. The Omelet of the day was also superb. Good sized portions.

Lovely dining experience.
The wait staff was knowledgable, kind, and efficient.
The food was outstanding.
Don't let the convenience store next door turn you off - inside it is calm, quiet and the booths are very comfortable.
The soft shell crab special was excellent.

Walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday evening and was quickly seated. I would recommend a reservation for big groups or weekends. The duck breast was cooked perfectly and I love the sides that came with the dish. Every bite was delightful! Ended the night with Creme Brûlée (though a bit over caramelized) but the experience at this joint made my day! I would return if I end up on Cincinnati for business.

The Good: taste, decor, service

The Bad: location

This is an upper end French Restaurant in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood. There is no parking directly attached. The exterior is very nice with a noticeable orange awning. The neighborhood is not great. The restaurant is located next to a low end convenient store and a liquor store.

That's the last of the bad news. The interior is very nicely decorated without being ostentatious. There is local art, bright colors and comfortable seating. The menu is limited but excellent. The Ravioli was subtle. The local chicken was delicious. We finished with a fine port and creme brullee.

The Road Word: Its worth a 60 mile drive for an excellent fine dining experience.
