Family of 5 staying in adjoing SL Western Cabin rooms. We were very pleased. Pros: Largest and most flexible option for our family. Parking right outside the door. 2 Queen beds in each were just fine. Windows that open for air flow. Private thermostat. Cons: Longish walk to amenities. Not enough drawer space for extended stay. Small bathroom. Average cleanliness.
We had a room on the outer edge near the road and found no inconvenience due to the road noise. Cleanliness was not offensive to us at all and to be fair we declined full housekeeping because we only needed basic service and were often resting mid-day when they came by. No big deal. Yes the bathrooms are small but fully functional for adults. If I were to go with my family again we would definately go the cabin route due to the conveniences metioned above. Like all housing in YNP, I believe most perceptions are guided by expectations. If you're expecting resort-style accommodations and service, you will likely be disappointed. Not a great value when compared to what one would get for this price in a city, but given the park environment and rusticness of other lodging options this was a good, comfortable value for a family of 5.More
