New lodge, with state of art facilities what you would expect inside the park. We had to book well in advance. Booked early to fit to our budget. The hotel is right in the center of park and closer to the most beautiful part of the park , the Yellowstone canyon and the falls. Walk-able to trails leading to the beautiful canyon

Room tip: Book early to avoid high proces

We stayed 2 nights in Moran Lodge and could not have been more pleased! From the moment you walk in to a smell of wood, to the entrance to the spacious room, to the comfortable sleep at night, it is a treat. We requested and were given a room facing the forest, so it was quiet. The windows open much farther than at Snow Lodge, so even without air conditioning it was easy to keep the temperature cool enough for a good sleep. Starbucks coffee is provided for the in-room coffee maker, though ours did not work the second morning. The bathroom is attractively tiled in black and white. Even though our 6 month old grandaughter had a bit of a crying jag at her 9:00 bedtime, we could barely hear her from the room next door. We also had to place a towel over the blue light on the fridge at night to keep the room dark.

Room tip: Ask for a room facing the forest.

For a simple woodsy park like feel hotel room with a a good shower this is a great choice. We were pleasantly surprised at the cabin's nice touches like a wooden table and chairs coffee maker and loaded soap and shampoo dispensers. Everything inside seemed recently updated and the parking was just outside of the cabins. The temperature even in late July dropped in the evening so we did not miss the air conditioning. This is a nice option for large groups to stay in the same area of the park. Our son stayed in the newer lodge buildings and thought they were very similarly appointed to the cabins.

Stayed here one night in the new Dunraven lodge building. The building is only a year old so the room is modern-sized and spacious with a full size bathroom. Other lodge buildings are still under construction so the area is a bit of a mess but the free shuttle service makes it easy to get back and forth to the central Canyon area with all its amenities. Room price is mid-range for the rooms in Yellowstone.

I have stayed in literally every lodge, inn, and hotel in Yellowstone. This is the closest to a typical modern hotel (HI Express, Hampton, Hyatt Place, etc.) you will find the park.

Beautiful Lodge and location was perfect. The parking was a bit difficult but we had been warned of it. We had two different rooms both of which had extremely loud refrigerators ( I could hear the neighboring room refrigerator turn on and off thru the wall) , I found out that if you the visit the park right you will be so tired by the time you get back to your room you can sleep thru the noise. I will be back.
