When you pay for a room, at the price of a chain hotel, at a place that is NOT a chain hotel I expect something a bit nicer. Unfortunately this hotel is VERY average at best. I have traveled in 22 countries and every month and have to say I was not impressed. The 1 medium swimming pool and 1 Jacuzzi are FILLED with 10-30 kids every day, so no adults would want to go-they need a separate kids pool!
The room was on the ground floor and the upper room made extreme noise all the time and the floors seemed thin as we heard everything at all times!

The room was VERY VER Generic, in fact it looked EXACTLY like a Comfort inn, or typical place with the polyester sheets, covers, bad carpet and typical bathroom.
The rooms was clean, and the staff was friendly enough.
The views are great, but they are great in ALL the town.
The garden is nice, but I don't travel for a garden only.
This is NOT a lodge, a lode is something like Timberline at Mount Hood Oregon, this is a fake lodge.

ANYONE WHO THINKS THIS IS A AMAZING HOTEL EITHER HAD A LARGE SUITE MAYBE OR HASNT BEEN AROUND MUCH IN OTHER PLACES, OR LOVES TYPICAL CHAIN HOTEL BRANDS.
This town is lacking in options but I will not return here next time.

Room Tip: Pay double for a suite and maybe the room is better than the standard.

This is a really nice hotel in an absolutely beautiful location. We checked into a riverside double queen room, and we had a ground level room. When we walked out the back door, we were literally 100 feet from the Virgin River. The grounds are lush and planted with trees, flowers, etc. There is a really nice pool/spa, and many benches and shady areas to sit back and watch the world pass you by.
The room itself was marketed as being able to sleep 5, and we all squeezed in, but it was a little tight. However, when you are in Zion in the springtime, you aren't really there to stay in your room, right?
The best parts of this hotel:
* Location, location, location. As noted, right along the river. There is a pathway that leads along the river about 200 yards, and then you are at the pedestrian entrance to the Park and the shuttles that lead up into the Canyon. We parked our car at the hotel when we checked in and didn't move it until we checked out a couple of days better.
* Service - the front desk staff was very nice and responsive to all of our requests.
All in all, we will be back.

We started out at a cabin in Zion Park and much preferred staying here. Not only was the room fresher and more comfortable, but the quiet location and views from our room made this stay outstanding. More comfortable. More affordable. Loved easy access to better restaurants and less hectic environment. Pool and gardens are great. It might be worth driving back from Minnesota again this spring.

If you are planning a trip to Zion National Park, this is the best place in town to stay. You can literally walk into the park from the hotel, or ride the free city shuttle the 1/4 mile to the entrance. The hotel itself is amazing. Everything is perfectly maintained, with gorgeous groomed lawns and flowerbeds, a postcard view, and clean, modern guest rooms. There is literally nothing I can think of that would make this a better hotel. Sitting on my balcony drinking coffee, watching the sun come up over the red rocks was amazing. Hotel staff friendly, delicious breakfast place next door, heated pool, huge jacuzzi, and a view to die for. We even saw deer on the lawn while swimming in the pool. Even better our room was very affordable, it was worth far more that we paid for it. Definitely a gem in Springdale.

Room Tip: The regular rooms are generous enough for a family- no need to spring for a suite unless you want to...

This is our 7th or 8th stay at the Cliffrose, and we can't help but figure on more. The Lodge provides a perfect combination of comfort and elegance amidst amazing natural beauty. The convenience is great too, only a short walk to the entrance and shuttle buses of Zion, an important factor considering that half the year you can't drive into the park anyhow. During our recent stay hundreds of annuals were being planted, the grounds and landscaping like a little Versailles. Pretty fine too as far as the room itself, super comfy bed and a balcony or patio with amazing views. The staff is great too and were extremely helpful last year when we had a little personal emergency. We toured their latest suites, which would ideally suit a larger group and made us think of bringing the whole family here.

Room Tip: We have been on every level and type of room, and you really can't miss.

We stayed here in April 2011 and we loved it!
The room was small but the location and all the contemporary furnishings made up for it.
Our room had a spectacular view of the mountains and each room had a hummingbird feeder outside - i saw my first hummingbird ever whilst staying here (we live in australia and don't have hummingbirds) and they are just the cutest things ever.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Zion.

Right on the edge of Zion Park, this place was amazing! We stayed in a Riverside 2 bedroom suite and couldn't have been happier. Our two adult daughters stayed in one room and my wife and I stayed in the other. Having the kitchen was a huge plus and it was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, small toaster oven, and dishwasher. Plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. The view from our back deck was beautiful taking in the sites of the Virgin River and the cliffs of Zion.
It's a short walk to the Visitor Center and also a short walk to some good restaurants. We ate at The Spotted Dog one night and The Bit & Spur the other night and had good meals at both places. The Spotted Dog is a little nicer, and the food was a little better.
If we ever come back to Zion, we will definitely stay here again. The photos on their website do justice to the beauty of the area. However, it's much better in person.

Last tip -- we drove over to Bryce one day. We didn't do much hiking so we didn't stay there very long and ended up driving back to St. George to stay with some family. The accommodations in Bryce are not nearly as nice as you'll find in Springdale. There's two big Best Western hotels and nothing with the feel and scenery that comes close to comparing with the Cliffrose. The Cliffrose is a special place!

Room Tip: If you have a big group, our room, (#41) connected with another room which would give you a ton of s...
