We rally enjoyed Mount Kenya Safari Club staying in a William Holden Cottage. Great view of Mt. Kenya and the gardens of the Club. Good staff apart from some of the assistant manager. The one in the restaurant was rude. From my point of view they have far too many managers over there. They have to look into their food choice. If someone stays there for more than 3 nights he will get bored with the menu. We expected more from Fairmont...

Beautiful place, set on expansive beautiful grounds!

It's about 3 hours from Nairobi, pricey, but when you get there, you can see why.

The rooms are well done, they have a fireplace (it gets awfully cold because of proximity to Mount Kenya, rains a great deal too) They also, very discreetly place water bottles in the beds in the evening. I would go out to dinner and come find the bottle in place. The beds are very comfortable, reading lights are available and they have curtains that do not let in the light :-)

They have wireless internet access with decent speeds especially in the rooms near the main bar (which has the best reception)

Staff are attentive and very friendly. They have carts to get you around the establishment (It's expansive complete with a golf course)

They also have a heated pool

Congratulations to Fairmont. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night and wished we had booked for longer.

From the moment we arrived at Mt Kenya Safari Club, we were thoroughly blown away by its beauty, history and level of service from all the staff.

The rooms are huge (including the bathroom) with extremely comfortable beds. Our room also had an Open Fire Place and great views of Mount Kenya.

The meals were of a high standard with a Buffet style breakfast and lunch. Dinner is “A La Carte” and a welcome change to buffets.

Whilst we were there, we visited the Mount Kenya Animal Orphanage (located within the grounds of the hotel) and were extremely impressed by the whole organisation. The number and variety of animals that they have there is amazing and well worth a visit.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mount Kenya Safari Club and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who enjoys the finer things in life and 1st Class service and accommodation.

Fairmont Safari Club is an amazing place to rest and relax after a long journey. Panoramic views just take your breath away and the early morning vistas of the sunrise and mount Kenya mesmerizes you. The hotel is complete in itself, with a large heated swimming pool, spacious rooms and bathrooms, a golf course and an amazing maze to lose yourself in. The buffet spread was mouth watering and the staff very friendly and cooperative. Beautifully landscaped place, a must visit for all those who appreciate nature, serenity and also the finer things in life.
