Actually not clean at all. The mirrors had a thick film covering the surface. Nothing was dusted, it just had a yucky feeling. It's not a cheap place either. The location is close to a good bakery. Free breakfast. Still It def needed to be renovated 5 years ago..

Great location, nice and clean room, good beds

Vansana Vang Vieng hotel is a fantastic hotel right beside the Mekong River. Vang Vieng is a pleasant town with nice terraces by the river. You can also make beautiful walks in the area.
At the waterfront terrace off the hotel you can also eat very delicious. We have spent some very nice days.

Room Tip: Room at the riverside

Just in the central location allowing easy access to everything in and around Vang Vieng. Beautiful view to the river and mountains. Comfortable room with all conveniences needed. Pool to cool down after the day of activities. Quiet after 10 p.m. except for the noise made by Chinese tourists. Breakfast offering a good choice for all kind of visitors. WiFi working everywhere and well. Highly recommended

The hotel is centrally located. Very loud until 11 pm. Price is fair. The breakfast is ok but can be improved. Not so much better choice in Vang Vieng, so at the moment i would recommend it according to the average

In general if you want a quiet area, do not come to Vang Viene in the first place. While the mountain setting along The Mekong is stunning and a bike ride out of town satisfying to get away, the town is just a series of not so interesting restaurants, bars, and outdoor adventure places. Music is blaring everywhere. Clearly the scene is for the young crowd looking to raft and party. This hotel is on the river and is okay re amenities like a decent breakfast and a pool but there is non stop loud music across the river which leads to not at all a relaxing environment.
Not sure where else I'd recommend as the whole town has little appeal for me. Glad that I was here just one day.
