The only thing Grand is the building. Bathroom was horrendous. It was supposed to be a wet room but the floor sloped away from the drain. A stupid little corner shower cubicle sprayed water everywhere. Kettle and cups provided but no complimentary tea, coffee etc. Very noisy corridors as they were all tiled. Could not recommend this hotel at any price.

This hotel would appear to cater to the tour operators and it quite evident that we were not their first choice as guests. Clean room, breakfast was disappointing and not much left as we were after the busloads. Not recommended. A little out of the way. Pool was dirty. Pass on this one.

Room Tip: Ask to face the pool - the river

Only thing good I can say about this hotel is the view.... They have a cup and kettle in the room but they said your not aloud to drink tea or coffee, went for breakfast at 8;45am but everything was gone and refused to cook us something even thou we already paided... They said they have wifi but it don't work.... Rooms are very noisy can hear EVERYTHING from the people staying next door, got woke up at 6am, to get to the swimming pool you have to walk through the main entrance what are gloss tiles and are very slippery and the lift was full of water... They didn't have any change in Laos of Thai money so they tried giving me American dollars as change, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor which made it very slippery and dangerous.... I've been coming to Laos for 10 years and this is the worse place I've ever stayed, staff seem like there all new and don't have a clue what there doing and the restaurant staff are very very rude

Reception were helpful , the room was spacious and clean, the bathroom leaked water from the shower across the floor and the water temperature from the shower head varied from very hot to cold without adjusting tap, I found the breakfast to be quite good .

This hotel is an absolute joke!

1. The bathroom smells like a sewage and the toilet and bath leaks water all over the floor, not just when turned on, and leaves a funky sewage smell all the time
We asked to change rooms as the smell was that bad and when we got a new room we had the exact same situation in our next room with the smell of sewage.
We also saw another man asking to changes rooms the same time as us because of the same reason.
I can't even describe how bad the smell was!! The word disgusting doesn't even cover it!
2. You couldn't have a decent shower as the shower would change from freezing to boiling hot all the time so it's hard to have a decent shower!
3. When we got moved to our new room which they said was all clean and ready for us, there was a sandwich from the night before left in the hotel and had attracted thousands of ants into the room!!
When we went down to reception to complain about this and took the box full of ants to prove our situation, the men behind the desk just laughed at us and asked us to put it in the bin ourselves
4. On arrival staff were not welcoming at all and didn't seem bothered we were there, this went on throughout our stay!
5. Staff seemed to not be able to speak very good English at all so it made communication very hard!
6. On Our first night there was a lot of people running, screaming banging things and have a party throughout the rooms between the hours of 9-2am while everyone else is trying to sleep. We went down to the front desk to complain about the situation but the security guard just laughed and dod nothing about it so the noise carried on through out the night.
When then had someone knock at our door and even tried to walk in (thankfully we had locked the door)
7. The breakfast buffet felt like it was tea time with the food available and there wasn't a good variety of choice including a small bit of fruit that wasn't fresh and was looked like it was from the day before. Breakfast is served from 6:30-9 and On our second morning of the buffet breakfast they had ran out of most of the food by 7:30 and then had to wait 10 minutes for some things to be cooked
8. The walls and ceiling seem to be extremely thin and can hear people talking and move chairs and banging about in other rooms
9. The hotel seems to have a problem with a lot bugs as they were everywhere ( I know it may be because where the hotel is located but we have stayed in other hotels in locations like this and never seemed to have this problem elsewhere)
10. It's states wifi works throughout he hotel but it doesn't work in the two rooms we had.

On a plus the pool is a good size but had wooden sunbeds which were not comfy. Don't be fooled by the pictures as there's a construction site directly to the right of the pool in your view

For the price the hotels charges you to stay is absolutely ridiculous! We couldn't wait to get away from the hotel!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights the hotel itself is amazing! Great location, beautiful views and spacious rooms and bathroom! The pool is also great.
Unfortunately, on our second last day we left to go tubing and came back to our room cleaned and my boyfriends money stolen out of his bag! Over 250,000 kip when we told the reception he spoke to the house keeping staff and no one owned up (ovbiously) so he simply told us we were mistaken and that he must have lost this money.. But we know it was in his bag! Also breakfast had no milk for the coffee and no water

Where do we start. We chose this location as a place to relax and enjoy the view only to find major construction directly opposite and in the middle of the view. The rooms are ok and for the price it's acceptable, however a lot better for the money elsewhere.
The breakfast was a joke, especially the lack of mild for coffee and not cereals or even toast available.
Extremely disappointing would never stay again.
