If you like a quiet beach holiday, Ngapali could be the place for you. The sandy beach stretches for miles and seems generally safe for swimming. Excellent choice of hotels and superb seafood restaurants. Very little by way of nightlife if that is what you are after.

I started my trip to Myanmar here but I think is more usually tourists’ final destination. I am sure I will be back!

Ngapali beach is wide clean beach with palms leaning to sand and you can find hidden small gem for authentic food lovers there. Next to Tande Beach Hotel you can find 12 beach restaurants, where seafood paradise lay. Each of them has their own speciality - guaranteed ice from purified water (Green Umbrella), cocktails served in coconut (U Wauna Seafood Garden), the cheapest beer (Silver fool), but all of them offer fresh seafood, vegetables, exotic fruits and good cocktails. If you like red or white snapper, barracuda or grouper you can eat them every day with the feeling that price is nearly for free. You can order queens, kings or tiger prawns or even lobster (1kg for 50USD), squid, crab, octopus or just avo salad and you can be sure it will be delicious. Cocktails are surprisingly good (of course only in some of the restaurants) and unbelievable cheap during happy hour. AND top of that bonus that you can't get easily anywhere else - watching sea sunset from your table. Sounds great doesn't it? Go there and enjoy seafood paradise!!

Truly great beach. It gets better as you leave the main area and travels to remote ones in the South. A larger boat called Arakan tender can take you there.
