Nice room although the outside looked very strange. Looked like you were renovating the hotel. Some things were directly dangerous. The pool was dirty and had a lot of sharp edges that we looked at. The food was ok and very affordable.

simple and comfortable hotel in a perfect spot, almost alone along this part of Weligama Bay, lots of rooms, good breakfast, nice staff and clean rooms (AC, Coffee/tea, towels, king bed, internet) close to the beach.

Jagabay is not the most beautiful place, but it is conveniently located, has friendly staff and comfortable beds. The buffet runs until 10.30am and every tuktuk driver knows the place. The hotel is located directly on the beach. All in all great value for money.

We returned to stay at Jagabay after a year away and has a very pleasant week here. Last year there was a good deal of construction work going on and the hotel grounds were rather chaotic but I am pleased to report that a lot of this work is now completed and the grounds are much tidier, with dining tables in the garden area overlooking the beach. The sand here is golden and ideal for walking and jogging and there are various small surf schools right beside the hotel if you are into surfing. The sunsets from this place are incredibly beautiful. Jagabay is a friendly 'no frills' hotel with rooms simply furnished and clean. The owner speaks fluent English and German and could not be more helpful. We have stayed here many times and look forward to returning.

We found the Jaga Bay resort hotel physically quite difficult, with steep inclines and steps to get into the place, and a total muddle as to where anything should be. Reception is as far from the entrance as it can be, whereas you walk straight into the chalet style bedrooms and the breakfast/dining room. Dogs and cats are everywhere, all desperate for food and love. The staff are as friendly and polite as can be. The resort reminds me slightly of a YMCA/YWCA back in the 60’s.
