We have just returned home after 10 nights at this hotel. On arrival we were shown to our ground floor room which was clean and tidy. Unfortunately I had packed american plug converters and asking at reception as to where I could buy a european one was given one free of charge. On the whole the staff were very friendly and helpful with a special mention for Poppy who was always helpful and cheerful. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. We are beach people so only used the pool area on a few occassions but found it very good with plenty of sunbeds available. The location is ideal about 15 mins walk to the beach and even less to the old town which is really beautiful with lots of very good tarvernas and restaurants. It was a pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Malia.

So, we are a pair who came here in July, 2017.
Location.
Location is pretty good for walking in the evening. It's about 5 min walk to the Old town which is full of good restaurants.
There is a good shop (supermarket) in 5 min walk, too.
As for way to the sea - it takes about 10-15 min and you will get to it in 1-2 days. There is not a big problem, really.
It is also 5-7 min to night clubs - not far away and not noisy at all.

The room. (Photos attached)
The room was exactly the same as we saw in a picture on tripAdv and Booking.com - and it's really nice!
I have seen here a lot of comments about the age of the furniture - yes, it's not new but it is really Ok.
The bathroom and shower are not big, but it is 3* and I don't think that you come to see to have a nice bath =)

Breakfasts.
They are nice! Simple and delicious. There is a variety but of course it isn't the same as in Tukish 5* (However, I've never been there =D).

Service.
That is really good! I would like to say thank you to all the staff! Friendly and always ready to help. We got some very helpful recommendations: restaurants, beaches. Thanks for that! Poppy and Mzeya (!!!), you are great! Hello from Russia!
Cleaning was every day (the floor was washed).

To sum up
This Hotel is a standart European 3* Hotel. I will say it is Ok.
We got only positive memories of it!
So, recommended

We spent a fortnight at this hotel and it was a good place to stay. Off the strip but close enough to get to it in 5 mins.
Kosta is improving the hotel each year. The hotel and pool are of good quality the food at the pool bar is spot on. All I can say treat people how you expect to treated and you'll really enjoy it.
Also for eating out plenty of good choices from old town to main strip.

Just returned from a week away here and it's in a fantastic location to either the strip were all the bars are or the old town. This little hotel is just the right distance from the strip so you don't hear any noise. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely and always fresh and our rooms were cleaned every day. Our only problem was the shower was Tiny and you would make abit of a mess with water but the actual bath room is a wet room but it just leaves it slippery. Other than that the staff, food at the outside bar and the cocktails were incredible. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and it's a nice relaxing hotel. I'd deffo return there again!
Thanks fore a lovely week
