What a find! We stumbled upon this family owned and run boutique hotel by chance and were so glad we did! Only eight rooms, all with the most amazing view over the Aegean sea, some with balconies. Our room had a large balcony with loungers, big airy room beautifully furnished in a simple Greek way with a lot of it made by the owner, Depi. Wooden floors, fairly large shower and good amenities. Unfortunately one must understand the Greek plumbing system though - sometimes the water trickles out, at others not. But that is Greece!
Together with her husband Dimitri and twin daughters, they run this hotel and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wonderful breakfast made to order, including Depi's home made jams and preserves, my favourite being the lemon jam! And of course the fabulous Greek yogurt. It is situated a short walk from Ermopouli, the centre of the Island, so we walked one way every day, then had to take a taxi back due to the heat! But close to everything and Depi told us all the places to visit and called taxis for us when necessary. There are other boutique hotels on the island, of which we viewed a few, but nothing to beat the Arion. Thank you Depi and family - we shall certainly be back!More
