I attended a language course in Sorrento for a week and stayed the weekend before and had my daughter join me for the last evening. All communication with the owner, Giovanni, was timely, factual and easy to understand. He even offered to come to the bus drop off point in the town or to the station to accompany me to the apartment and intervened the following day with airport staff to find my luggage that had been misplaced in Milan. I was extremely grateful to receive it less than 24 hours' later and was most grateful for the offer of his ride to the airport to see if we could intercept it, which we did!
The apartment is located a stone's throw away from one of the squares where there is a fabulous restaurant, coffee shop etc and where you get a code for free wi fi in a certain geographical area. You can also get train tickets there and from the square too there is a local bus to the public beach. Giovanni has all the timetables and tourist information as well as a map showing location of the supermarket, ATM etc. The train station is less than 5 minutes by foot away so perfect for excursions, or like me, for the commute into Sorrento of a morning. Taxis are really expensive so be mindful of the last train back in the evenings but find out the time of the last bus back to save the fare.
It is always difficult to find the "ideal" apartment ticking all the boxes and with the additional requirement for me as being a lone, mature, female and I would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation to others in my similar situation.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the apartment larger than the pictures and it more than met my expectations in terms of facilities and atmosphere.
It felt very much "a home from home" and I look forward to returning next summer. Chow Giovanni, Adele and Martina. My belated thanks.
