Another year, another cycling holiday in Mallorca, and word of mouth of a new cafe.

This place is not easy to find! It's a bit of an adventure down a rough tarmac road, and at first we weren't even sure which building is the cafe. It's so subtle, it's easy to miss!

But once we'd figured it out, this is a lovely little cyclists stop. Coffee, cake, juice - all very good and very reasonably priced. Tables in the shade and plenty of space.

Waiter bloke couldn't have been friendlier.

It's also in a perfect location to cut down the back road (better tarmac) and head to Felanitx for San Salvador climb etc.

Ended up in Lazy Mallorca by chance, was cycling and after 45 km under relentless sun this oasis appears (secret cafe) We stopped for a coffee. The attention was excellent and the brownies superb. Alex and Jill were lovely. Went again the next day and again wasn't disappointed. Can't really rate as a hotel since I only went for a bike break

Stayed here for a few days earlier this year whilst on business. A very relaxing place to stay with great home cooked food and chilled atmosphere. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Hosts Alex and Jill went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, thank you!

My wife and I felt so let down by Lazy Finca that we actually left 2 days early, sacrificing x2 nights paid for accommodation.

We were in Mallorca for a week and had just spend 3 nights up in the mountains at a hotel costing EUR 175 per night. We then came to Lazy Finca Son Valls at EUR 140 per night and the difference in service and experience was vast.

Our room at Lazy was tiny. Our 'double' room was two singles pushes together and our bathroom was honestly the smallest bathroom I've ever been in (to sit on the toilet you had to have your feet in the shower). We had a small terrace (more than most rooms there have) however there was zero privacy with the adjacent room terrace right next to it. Plus out terrace overlooked a scrub and a wild, overgrown bamboo bush. Also our bed was never turned over (a minor point and not a deal breaker but I'd expect it at EUR 140 per night).

The pool area was disappointing and felt a bit ramshackle so we never really felt like hanging out there.

In addition, every meal (breakfast and supper when it's on) you have to eat as a big group with all the other guests. Now you might be reading this thinking "This guys just a snob" but I've stayed at tons of surf camps where I've done this, however a.) I haven't been paying EUR 140 and b.) in those environments there was inherently much more camaraderie because we'd all been doing the same activity all day. In addition, I know for a fact that one of the other guests was a bit pissed off as he had been kept awake at night the night previous because he was in the main house and guests were playing a stereo on the patio below (we were in an annex).

To be fair, Jill is super friendly and a very welcoming host and we met some fun people when we stayed there. Also the breakfasts are good (our one supper was pretty average), there's a good honesty bar with local produce and they have bikes. However I think given the remote location, service and experience it is significantly overpriced.

This place is the perfect place to come if you're a solo traveller as you will be forced to mix with the other guests at breakfasts and in close quarters in the house or if you choose to stay by the pool for the day.

My husband is a surfer and we are a laid back couple, but this was too much for us.

The finca is very traditional and romantic. Jill, one of the owners is beautiful and very lovely.

The majority of the guests are German. All of them were very nice.

However if you want to relax away from other guests this is not the place to come. It is in the middle of nowhere and it's difficult to go to a local restaurant as the closest town is felantix which is pretty dead and more of a workers town.

The most local beach is over half an hour away and a lot in August are crowded.

We came from a beautiful boutique hotel in the north of the island where it was great to chill by the huge pool all day, but this pool was very small and quite old.

Our room was small but clean, very basic with a tiny bathroom where if you say on the loo you had your knees pressed to the shower.

The breakfast was typical German and very delicious but you had to sit with all the other guests in a long table and it would have been rude not to talk.

There are chickens and lemon trees and it is very romantic but probably too laid back in terms of the quality of service for the amount we paid.

Fairly expensive versus other places with more amenities, bigger rooms and a relaxing vibe.

We don't like mass tourist spots so we thought this would be perfect but it was a little bit too laid back and I wouldn't call this a hotel, more a hippy commune or b&b.

You can opt in and out for dinners on on and off days throughout the week and these were good value for money and delicious. Again mixing with your fellow guests. We enjoyed this for one night but couldn't hack much more.

We cut our stay short to visit friends in the north of the island and only stayed two out of four days.

This place would be perfect in the cooler months for cycling and activities and if you are laid back and enjoy communal living.
