“Perfect escape from it all”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We were looking for somewhere quiet to retreat to for a weekend and really struck gold with this one.

The annexe is well thought out and cosy with all the bits and bobs you need for a getaway. The ensuite bedroom is delightful and so comfortable. Unfortunately the central heating wasn't working however the owners provided heaters which kept us toasty for our stay so no complaints there.

There is a pub a couple of minutes walk down the lane and for the walkers among us, the 1066 trail is literally outside the door. For us however, the annexe was our perfect break because of the absolute silence, no light pollution and quaint cottage style accommodation.

Definitely recommend and we hope to return next time we bribe unsuspecting family members to have the kids for us.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Parsonage barn, and both times it has been superb.Heather and Alan the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is the ideal place for two people, especially dog owners, as it is surrounded by beautiful countryside.Just down the lane is a superb pub, the Queens Head which serves great food and is dog friendly.

“A peaceful retreat”
Reviewed July 19, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

We stayed for three nights at Parsonage Barn Annexe and found it to be a lovely, peaceful retreat. We appreciated the fresh flowers and milk waiting for us and the selection of local maps and leaflets. The Barn, is at the end of a gravel lane adjoining the owner's house and there are many footpaths close by, including the 1066 walk. There is an excellent pub, The Queens Head, just two minutes walk away, which has a lovely garden overlooking the Sussex countryside towards Rye. The accommodation was very comfortable with a small kitchen area, large lounge and bedroom and adjoining bathroom with a small shower cubicle. We particularly appreciated being able to sit outside on sunny mornings and evenings, and watch the chickens pecking around, as well as the occasional visit of the owner's two friendly dogs.
