Tucked away in the Surrey woodlands on a farm you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere staying in Holly Oaks. The cabin is well appointed with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge with a smart TV and the bed is very comfortable! We saw deer on a couple of ocassions grazing outside the window. Lovely to sit out on the outdoor decking especially in the evening just surrounded by peace and quiet. Lots of walks from the cabin through the peaceful woodland paths e.g. to the pretty village of Shere.
Gill, the owner, is vey welcoming and helpful.
Only drawback perhaps for some is that you have to carry your luggage a short way up the woodland track to the cabin, it was worth it and Gill provided a trolley to make it easier.
Our weekend trip to Three Oaks was the perfect weekend away. The cabin had everything we could possibly need, beautify presented and very comfortable.
My boyfriend and I got the train from London to Guildford, then a taxi from Guildford to the farm. We brought all the food we needed so we were able to cook our own breakfast and dinners in the kitchen. There are lots of lovely villages within walking distance, and maps and leaflets are provided showing what there is to do in the area.
The owner was polite and informative, and left us to it after the initial welcome.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away in the countryside. It is very cheap for the quality of the accommodation and took only an hour and 20 minutes to reach from central London.
