If you fancy a great value breakfast, then this is the place to go. Although occupying a small unit in an industrial estate it provides an extensive breakfast menu in surroundings that can not only be described as pleasant but also as immaculately clean. Every breakfast includes an orange juice and unlimited tea or coffee.

We had arrived in Porthmadog the evening before, in the dark. Staying at the Travelodge, we knew that there was no cooked breakfast on offer and we really wanted a good start to the day as we were of exploring. So, we left the Travelodge and noticed a large sign for Breaktimes. With no idea if we would get anything else so soon, we went off to find it. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised but the presentation of the building. It was on an industrial estate, in a unit. We entered, and firstly were overwhelmed by the amount of signs. They even stipulate where you can sit (i.e. depending on the party size) but that all added to the character of the place. It was clear what was on offer and what the deal was for each breakfast. Mostly, you get a breakfast, with refill tea/coffee and one glass of orange juice. The prices were very good and when it arrived we were very pleased with the presentation and quality of the food. One of the staff kept coming over to check we were ok and offering top ups for the tea and coffee. We were very impressed. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Breaktimes when you are in the area. The do lunches too. We will be back when we next visit Wales!!

We were staying at the nearby Travelodge so we had breakfast at Breaktimes café. The prices included a glass of orange juice and tea and coffee with refills. Everything was freshly cooked. Spotlessly clean and with friendly staff.
