I stayed 5 weeks in Vinales while on a climbing trip in November and December. I stayed at 4 different casas and Jorge y Ana Luisa run the best casa in town! They are very kind and generous and so helpful. Ana is so full of love for her guests. You can tell she loves this work.

The casa is very clean and comfie. The new section is unbeleivably beautiful and Ana has put her heart and soul into making it a 5 star casa for her guests. She is a teacher and very helpful for those wanting to improve their spanish.

This casa goes beyond my expectations!

We stayed two nights at Jorge and Ana Luisa's place and loved it! We very much liked that the house was not on the main street, so that you didn't get the overly touristic feel of Vinales. Instead we had a great view of the mountains. We were the last guests staying in the old house and will hence not review this place based on our room, but the rest of our stay. The new house looked great! The first thing that needs to be mentioned is Ana Luisa her self - she was the warmest and kindest person we met on Cuba! Although our Spanish is very poor we understood each other quite well and she taught us some handy expressions for the rest of the trip. We had all our meals on the roof terrace and she prepared what ever we wanted. The soup and the lobster was so good! Palmera, the dog, was with us most of the time :) Ana Luisa arranged for a friend of the family to show us the countryside and the mountains - this was the most memorable day of our whole stay on Cuba! Francesco told us everything from Cuban history to flora and fauna, we went by tobacco fields, tried the drink Canchanchara and went into the Silent Cave. Don't hesitate to go here - you will love it!

We stayed for two nights at Jorge y Ana Luisa in the brand new building that they had just built! We were welcomed warmly by Ana Luisa, who spoke "Spanglish", and it was very easy to communicate with her even though we spoke close to no Spanish. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and your own private bathroom. The food was tasty, with gigantic portions. I remember the lobster and the breakfast spread fondly.

Ana Luisa was also very helpful and helped us arrange several activities around Vinales. We went on a walking tour of the valley with Domingo (highly recommended guide!) and another horseriding tour as well, all arranged through Ana Luisa.

There was also a lovely porch with comfy rocking chairs where you can sit and relax after a day of activities.

We miss Vinales already and look forward to returning and staying at this casa again!!

My sister and I stayed in the new house just after it was finished and loved it. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The air conditioners were quiet and the rocking chairs were great chill on in the afternoon heat. Ana Luisa really made us feel right at home too. Absolutely the best Casa we stayed in.

I also went for a walk up the Valley with a guide Ana Luisa recommended. That was a morning well spent and I learned a lot about Cuba and Cuban life. So I'd suggest doing this if you stay with Ana Luisa

In December 2011 we were guests of Ana Louisa. She made us feel very welcome even though she was busy painting their new apartment which is especially designed for tourists. We fondly remember the fantastic home-cooking and the interesting conversations we had with her. If you are planning to go to Vinales to see the beautiful landscape we would recommend that you first check if she has a room available for you. We are convinced that you will be as enthousiastic as we are. Helena and Anna from Amsterdam

Ana Luisa was the most wonderful host and she cooks really good food too! Rooms were tidy and spacious. She could've organised tours as well, although we didn't go but some of the other guests did and enjoyed them as well.
