We had a lovely stay in this Hostal for 2 nights. Juana and her family were very helpful and breakfast was so nice. Location was very central and only took a few minutes to get to the main street of Vinales. Juana organised a tour to the Tobacco Plantation and Cave for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed

We reserved 2 nights at Casa Juana, but since she only had a room inside her house left (and none of the independent rooms), we were transferred to her sister's casa particulares "Casa Jésus". Here, we stayed in very nice independent building with hot shower and own terrace. Both Juana and her sister were very nice and helpful. Note: the family only speeks Spanish, so the communication was a little bit difficult for us. However, we managed somehow and Juana and her husband even helped finding one of the taxi collectivo guys who promised to pick us up but were way too late.

We stayed in this casa for two nights in late September. The host couple were super nice and helpful. We stayed in the casa they recently built. So the room was brand new and shower was great. I like the swing chairs on the porch. In the night, you can just sit there watching a sky of stars. Juan offered the best chicken in town! love it. and his father roast special cuban coffee beans. We both brought back some! They helped us arranged taxi to get around vinales and also some suggestions on where to go. I will definitely go back to this casa when i visit.

We stayed with Juana's daughter Hermenia and son-in-law Pedro in a comfortable, well-lit, back room. They are planning on getting their own business name but in the meantime, they receive their business from Juana. Pedro is a down-to-earth, open, very bright, communicative and interested host, who wanted, from the moment we arrived, for us to relax and enjoy. He used to work at the city's tourism office and he really does know what is doable in the time allotted and all the people to connect you with. He loaned his bikes out for free and even though he couldn't accommodate us our last night, he still extended the offer to us. From welcome snacks and juice to delicious breakfasts, he and his wife open both their home and their hearts to you. Do not hesitate to stay here. This was my favorite homestay in Cuba because of this couple's intimate, desire to connect with guests and make them feel comfortable and cared for.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hostal Juana for four nights over Christmas 2016 and it was the highlight of our two-week trip around the northwest part of Cuba.

Juana and Ivan are the consummate hosts, and they went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They quickly arranged any activity we mentioned to them, from bike rentals and taxis to even finding us an amazing local rock climbing guide to take us out on the crags one afternoon.

While the accommodation was basic it was very comfortable and clean. The house is located only a quick walk to the central plaza on the road up to Hotel La Ermita, which is a great spot to head to in the evening to grab a drink and watch the sunset over the mogotes.

Ivan and Juana are wonderful cooks, and (if desired) they can offer breakfast and dinner to you any day you're staying at their place. The meals are traditional Cuban, and it was some of the best food we had during our trip. We had breakfast (eggs, bread, fruit, coffee and juice) every morning we stayed at the hostel and it was exactly what we wanted to start the day. We did dinner every other night in order to check out some of the restaurants in town, but honestly the food was better at the hostel.

Vinales is an amazing spot, and I can't imagine a better place to stay than with Juana and Ivan in their lovely home. I almost felt guilty settling my bill at the end of our stay because the value was so good! I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to Vinales!
