If you want a quiet get away in a peaceful setting, this is the place to do it. Set in a young working vineyard, Gerri and George go out of their way to make you feel at home. Gerris' legendary breakfasts kept us going all day.
Our suite included a full kitchen and dining nook along with a private bath, sitting area, private entrance, and bedroom. Murphy the cockatiel provided pleasant chatter and song during our visit and the rooster was our alam clock. The view from our room was stunning and we spent our evenings on the deck enjoying a glass of local wine with our cheese and crackers. Georges' tour of the vineyard was informative and enjoyable.
Overall we received excellant value for our money and I would recommend this place to anyone wishing a quiet retreat.
Don't be alarmed by the driveway, everyone makes it to the top without a problem. Think of it as the stairway to heaven!

We stayed at the Grape Escape for 5 nights. The guest house is high up on a hill with the vineyard above and is about 10 minutes drive from town.

The Get Away suite, where we stayed, is a separate building and is very private, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. There are lovely views and a deck c/w a hot tub. The bathroom is especially gorgeous with marble tiles, claw foot tub and separate shower.

The hosts (Gerri and George) were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Gerri provided recommendations for touring the local Wineries and directions for hiking close by.

Breakfasts were delicious and different every day. In the evenings, Gerri brought us tea and dessert.

Overall, we thought this was by far the nicest B&B we’ve ever stayed at and we would highly recommend it.

We spent 3 nights at Grape Escape this September. Our room turned out to be a fabulous suite complete with fully equipped kitchen and stocked with coffee and popcorn .Outside it just got better with a spacious deck, table and chairs under a gazebo, telescope and our own hot tub - all with a wonderful view down the valley and all just for our use!
Gerry has thought of everything even down to a selection of swimwear in different sizes in the wardrobe just incase you have forgotten yours and want to use the hot tub.
Each morning we ate breakfast round the table with the other guests. There were never more than 6 in total and each day we had a completely different breakfast, always with fresh Okanagan fruit, home baking , fruit juice , coffee and a filling hot dish. We also joined Gerry and George and other guests for a lovely evening meal.complete with a selection of their own wines. If Gerry invites you to join them accept as it was really good and she is an excellent cook.
George gave us a guided tour of their young vineyard which was entertaining and informative and we got to taste all the varieties of grapes he is growing.
If you are at all interested in birdlife you will not be dissappointed. Sitting in a hot tub armed with binoculars and a glass of local wine was a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
It takes about 10 minutes to drive into Summerland where you will find some excellent eating places. Gerry will advise you.
Don't be put off by the approach to Grape Escape. It is up a steep and winding drive but as they will tell you "everybody makes it" and it really is worth it
