The waiter knew what were the highlights on the menu and everything we had was great. I had a giant lobster tail in chile orange sauce with mushroom risotto and grilled veggies. Others had grilled tuna- superb! The waiter was great too.

Would you expect a culinary visionary and an extremely talented chef in perfect unison in a remote place like Holbox? We loved it. If you have a special request - just ask. Jerry organized Huitlacoche for us even though it was not on the menu, and created a dish with it that is beyond description. 'nough said. We would live on Jerry's kitchen if we could.

On our visit there was only one waiter. He had to run the legs off. It was almost as if we wanted to jump in and help out. He forgot our extra order of drink. The waiter did however everything that we would have a good time, but he was unfortunately too busy with a full restaurant. However the food was very good. Grilled tuna was absolutely wonderful. If the restaurant hire more waiters this place could be really good. Hopefully, we had bad luck at our visit.

We ate here twice during our Holbox stay. Both times were very good. It is a restaurant situated on the Main Street and great for watching the lazy world go by... You can catch the latest tourist newbies riding the taxis from the ferry to their hotels, visit with the town dogs working the circuit. All very amusing. The restaurant is an open concept, raised up from street level by a few steps. Fun mural painted on the back wall by the kitchen, probably only 7 or 8 tables here along with the ubiquitous swing set bar. Guacamole here is a must, well portioned and great value. Margaritas are essential with all Mexican cuisine and are very good here. Our first night, I had coconut shrimp and my husband had the shrimp enchiladas. My dinner was the winner! Shared the Chocolate tamal for dessert which is a brownie wrapped in a banana leaf served with ice cream. Good way to end the meal. Dinner for two was approx 550 pesos.
The second time here I had the fish special of the day, a grouper type white fish in a pastor style sauce, grilled pineapple. Also very good. My husband had the coconut shrimp and was very happy with his choice. Presentation for all of our dishes was beautiful and with care.
Definitely a place to eat at on Holbox. Jerry, the one waiter who works the place, is delightful and very accommodating.

The food is very good. We has octopus and a local fresh fish, the salad was a mix of flavors that I did not quite like. Remenber to try to make a reservation if you come in high season because like most restaurants in Holbox the number Oftabkes is rminimum. The service is a little slow, but the whole island is sliw paced. The banana dessert was excelent...
