A very nice cabana. Beautiful grounds and great hosts.
Potosi is a nice and quiet place to stay in El Valle Anton.
The host is helpful and drives you to restaurants if you want.
It cost one dollar only pp. they spent that money for schools in the neighborhood.
I stayed with my daughter and it was more than comfortable, felt very welcome!

Room tip: Cabana number 4 is at the back and has the most privacy.

Everything all the reviews say and more. It would have to be said to be minimalistic but look at the price. Just the place to relax and unwind. Gracious hosts and the sound of nature. It had all we needed and we left more at rest than when we got there!

I have to say that the location was spectacular, but the fact that the owners were not present put a slight twist on our stay here.
From all of the descriptions, I thought we would have an easy time cooking our meals using the facilities as described in the gazebo. However, there was only a set of plastic plates and glasses in our room and nothing at all in the gazebo in the way of cooking equipment. The caretaker/gardener was extremely nice, but spoke no English and, as my Spanish is basic at best, we decided not to try to convey that there was no kitchen equipment available. We wound up eating all of our meals in town.
Again, this may have all been different if the owners had been on the premises.
Overall, a beautiful spot to visit.

The owners are great (American and Panamanian couple that both speak English and Spanish). They invited us to join them for their anniversary get together in their home with friends and family, guitar music, food and wine. While I was there, I got sick and Mireya made me some tea with herbs from the garden. They are well known and respected in the town by other business operators. They are very accomodating and will help with whatever travelling challenges or questions you may have (transportation, car trouble, etc.) One of them is always available if you need anything, but they will also leave you to yourself if you just want privacy and solitude. They have two well behaved dogs. Everything in the town is within walking distance (restaurants, artisan market, waterfalls and other destination points.) They will provide you with a good local map and guidance. This was the first place we stayed in Panama that recycles more than just glass, and they also compost. They are conscientious about the environment and wildlife.
When we were there, there was a hummingbird nest with a baby bird in one of their plants very low to the ground. As a bird watcher, this was just one of the MANY birds to see on their property. I started every morning with a walk around the property and would see multiple new birds on their property every day. They can also arrange a bird watching trip with a professional that knows all the good places to visit in the area to see a diversity of exciting birds.
An outdoor sink and clothes line are provided for doing your laundry, and their is a mini-fridge in the room. Hammocks are everywhere - in case you are faced with an urgent need to nap or read a book - Very relaxing. I also like that they have a binder with information about the room, cabanas and things to do and see in the area. Very few places I stayed did this - and I found it very useful to have the information available in one place. I had a great time and didn't want to leave. It was so relaxing and so beautiful. They maintain their grounds with lots of orchids, flowering trees, and tropical plants. Wish I was there now.

Room tip: I recommend that you avoid visiting during Carnival week- as the celebrations at neighboring properties goes long into the night and can be quite loud. This is not a problem when Carnival is over (or during the day during Carnival) when it is quiet and peaceful.

We had 5 nights here. The rooms are basic but have everything you need: hot showers, fridge, comfortable beds, electric fan (tho the through flow between the windows was enough for us), hammock, free WiFi near the office (reasonable signal) outdoor dining table and a great sink and washing line at the back of each cabana. Coffee or tea each morning - the bakery is a 15 min walk so get some pasteries/cinnamon buns for breakfast the night before. The main attraction of this accommodation is the lovely gardens alive with birds & flowers. Dennis & Maria are great company, yes definitely informative about the area but also just easy to be around and very decent people. The birding trip with Mario was great too, worth every penny. The 2 dogs (rescued) and connie the parrot were lovely additions to the family. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay in lovely surroundings 🐦🌸
