Family-owned and run Liani Hotel came as quite a surprise to my two colleagues and me: Clean throughout, friendly service, bathrooms with tub showers absolutely equal in size, quality and cleanliness to 4-star properties in London's Westend at one tenth their price, comfortable beds and enough room and closet space to make a 2-night business trip a pleasant stay.
Internet access (LAN and WiFi) is free and has sufficient bandwidth. The desk provides enough space to work at it all night long. Only the desk "chair" is a bit frugal inasmuch it is a cushioned stool with no backrest. But that is easily forgiven.
Reception and restaurant service are cordial, professional and based on the right attitudes.All of that mix is pleasantly low-priced.
The cherry on the cake, however, is the most unusual elevator I have ever seen in any hotel world-wide: Walls are totally black, the only interior lighting is provided by a black-light source, making it almost impossible to recognize a face, but all white garments reflect the light more beautifully than in a disco. Don't miss this cool elevator!
