I was trying to stay in less place in luberon for a few days in October. However places start to close down then and the few less expensive places were quite ordinary in their look. Someone suggested Roussillon and again the less expensive places were nothing that grabbed my attention. So I talked to this place and because it was October they were at their lowest rate and they only had left open their 2 lowest priced rooms which have no Terrace. So I decided to splurge an extra €40 a night and go with the top floor room. It was spacious and beautiful in fact the largest room I've ever had in France and this is their smaller room. There view went out over the valleys and was so good from just my window sitting either on my bed or in a chair that I had trouble leaving during the day to go see the sights. It was that beautiful you just wanted to sit in this gorgeous room looking out your beautiful window and do nothing. You can't get much better than that.

We stayed two nights at this lovely little hotel in Roussillon for two days at the end of September. We had the Pimprenelle room on the top floor with a tremendous view over the countryside. The room was spacious with welcoming decor. Each room is individually decorated, ours was done in muted blues, whites and creams in a lovely Provençal style. The room was very spacious with more than adequate room for the comfy bed, a table and chairs in addition to a desk, and armoire. The bathroom had a great tub (no stand up shower) and was very functional.

Staff was extremely friendly helpful and you could tell that everyone at the hotel takes pride in the establishment. We opted to have breakfast both mornings which, as the mornings were getting a bit chilly, was served in the dining room of the on-site restaurant, David, with outstanding views of the ochre hills of Roussillon. The breakfast was wonderful; fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, a variety of decadent breads and pastries and a bit of creamy delicious fresh chèvre. We also had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was fabulous.

The hotel is in a perfect location; simply step outside and Roussillon is yours to explore. It's especially lovely in evening and morning when the day trippers have departed and you can enjoy the tranquility of the village. The town itself is in a great location for visiting the surrounding area.

We did opt to pay for parking in one of the reserved spots adjacent to the hotel; definitely worth the money!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed longer!

Room Tip: Each room is unique so definitely look through the options on the hotel's website.

This is a hotel located right in the center of Roussillon village. Well located to visit the Luberon region.
The hotel is a 3* but it is decorated with charm and rooms are well appointed.
The highlight for us was the terrace in the room (room was de luxe) with fantastic views. We had breakfast served in the morning in the room to make most of terrace. The decoration of rooms was charming.
The views from restaurant were also breathtaking.
Some areas from improvement were the low pressure of water in shower and reception not being manned most of the time.
The hotel has no pool unlike many other options of accommodation in region.
Limited car parking requires reservation.
The restaurant is good although on the pricey side.
The price of the hotel itself was in line with accommodation in the area which is not cheap.
Good option for visiting Luberon.

Friendly and efficient welcome. We were helped with our luggage. We had a very comfortable and spacious junior suite, though the bathroom was fairly basic with no shower facilities. We had a continental breakfast in our room which was good at 15 €.
We ate at the hotel which is pretty expensive(set menus 36& 47€) and is fine dining in style. Don't eat here if you feel like something simple- there are many other choices very close by. But I would be happy to return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

I was so excited about visiting this town that I splurged on this expensive hotel. My husband and I live in Europe and travel a lot, so we know to look for a shower when we book a room, since that is important to us. We reserved a room with a shower specified. However, we were given a room with no shower, only a bathtub! We asked to be moved to a different room. No. We asked if we could leave and find a room at a different hotel and be refunded our money. No. We are extremely dissatisfied. The room was not at all as represented, and no adjustments were offered. If you prefer a shower, do not come here.

The room was comfortable. Ours did not have much of a view but we were ok with that. The restaurant was fabulous! Worth the splurge! Best views available! Also the hotel was centrally located in the adorable town. The Ochre was very interesting and beautiful to see! Great stop in the Luberon.

Room Tip: If you care about the view from your room, ask for a good view when booking.
