There's something about this place. Yes, it is more expensive than most other piste restaurants on Portes du Soleil, but it is definitely different and very quirky. The food was good, we ordered a hamburger savoyard (lovely), hamburger with foie gras (delicious) and a goat cheese aumonière, which was very refreshing. The desserts were just great, I particularly recommend the fabulous Cafe Gourmand (I was very glad I had had the salad before though!). The decor is crazy, very kitsch yet strangely appealing. If you go there, then eating inside is part of the experience (or at least peak in if it is a lovely sunny day). Service was courteous and efficient, with none of the rudeness mentioned in some other reviews. See you again soon, BaBeth!

Tucked at the back of all the other restaurants in Plaine-Dranse a little gem, quirky decoration but good food and excellence service

Been here approx 6+ times so I must be a glutton for punishment. Overpriced tartiflette etc but what an atmosphere & that crazy service! This is almost a must visit if you happen to be nearby but be warned, the staff & particularly Babeth have an attitude that may startle the easily offended. eg we commented on the service or lack of it & were told " the service it's up to you. It depend what you order" ( we had the expensive steak options x 6, wine, salads, etc!! go figure) . basically take it or leave it, we don't care. So we had a mad time with Babeth grinding her hips into our shoulders while we ate & more sideways cutting remarks......it's a bit mad but a must visit I'm sorry to say. Overall good grub, completely eccentric interior Babeth style & fun atmosphere. Don't expect to be treated like a paying customer though.

I ate here at lunchtime with a large group of 12 ladies, as one of us had been before with a mixed party and had recommended the restaurant. Granted, we did change our booking timewise, but that really did not warrant the extremely poor and aggressive customer service that we all then received. We must have really irritated the mental force known as Babeth - OMG! Waltzing around her restaurant (which was very dark with her aviators on) she was so rude it was unbelievable - we were shouted at then given a table that sat 8 comfortably, so four of the group sat opposite, awaiting an additional table. This was never forthcoming and whilst they waited were verbally abused and one of us was physically shoved out of the great ladies way! Yes a little sly shove off the mental one! Luckily, the lady she did it to is a very pleasant person, however back home behaviour like that can be taken the wrong way and end up in a very serious and aggressive situation. Quite frankly, you just don't physically assault your clientele let's be fair! The lady in our party who had recommended the restaurant was mortified and stated in hindsight that the great Lady seemed be more on form when there were males in the restaurant! Four of the group then left as they just couldn't be bothered with the behaviour and abuse. The remainder of us were then subsequently ignored on several occasions by the waitresses and the great lady herself. When the food came it was okay, no real complaints but it certainly wasn't better than any of the other restaurants nearby. One of party then ordered a desert, which never came but was put on the bill. At this stage we had got up to leave and we explained that we had been charged for something that hadn't arrived. Then from across the restaurant floor the great lady herself started screaming that we would have the desert and to sit down! At which point, we screamed back that we did not want her desert and that we were leaving. It was so awkward, it was cringeworthy! Then, the poor waitress arrived to be told again by us that we did not want it, as we were actually walking across the restaurant exiting - she stated that she was sorry but the eccentric one had told her she had to bring it! The poor girl was so embarrassed. To sum it up, it was embarrassing, cringeworthy and aggressive at best. The woman needs to learn customer service as you cannot treat customers like that and I hope people read this review and actually do not go. It's expensive, so take your money elsewhere where your custom is appreciated. Note to Babeth, the pictures of yourself everywhere are a bit cringe and there is a saying in England - Self praise is no praise at all love! Best wishes my dear x

Despite it being March I felt I’d walked back into December. Christmas decorations everywhere. Definitely very over the top and kitsch. Felt quite endearing though. Some good wines by the glass for a lunchtime drink but food was just average and probably a little overpriced compared to other eateries in the area.
