Mitsis Faliraki Beach Hotel & Spa
Ranked #3 of 70 Hotels in Faliraki

Just returned from the MitsIs Faliraki Beach Hotel and had a lovely week. Booked this about 8 weeks ago as me and my husband needed to get away for a break. We was looking at going to Marakesh or Sharm, but dates didn't fit in with work so decided on Rhodes.

We have never been to Greece before, and as we are going on a cruise and stay in September to Corfu we were unsure about this holiday, but I can honestly say we had a lovely time. The hotel is really impressive, all modern and very clean. Staff are very friendly and work very hard, from the management to the cleaners. Our room was small, but nice and clean with decent furniture on the balcony, no plastic chairs at this hotel! Bathroom was small, but functional. The only downside was that we were above the kitchen on the first floor and you did get a strong smell of food/cooking. This didn't bother my husband so much, but I have a strong sense of smell and was off putting for me, but not enough to request a move.

Food was very good and plenty of choice. We ate in the buffet dining room for breakfast and 2 evening meals, but preferred the specialty dining, plus you could book in advance for days at a time, and they did lunch in 3 of the restaurants as well as the evening meals, which a lot of all inclusive hotels do not do. We enjoyed the Asian and Italian the best, worse was the Mexican.

We did not have young children, and there was a lot of children at this hotel, and this did put us off a bit, but the animation team worked very hard to keep everyone entertained and involved, but not to pushy. I enjoyed the aqua gym with Aisleen on the mornings that I was around the pool, plus the Zumba was also very popular. Aisleen was the only English member of the entertainment team and made a point of speaking to us everyday, English holidaymakers were very few and far between, mainly Russian and German in this hotel.

On the whole we had a nice relaxing week at this hotel, but a week was enough.

Went for two weeks at the beginning of May.We have stayed here once before and we were not disappointed with the service this time. The staff are very freindly and as we took our 4yr old they couldn't do enough for us.The food in the restaurants was really good and the hotel is absolutely spotless. The young girls in charge of the mini club were excellent and really tried to get all the kids involved no matter what nationality they were,The beach infront of the hotel is by far the best on the whole stretch and it is very safe. No tea making facilities but they did restock the fridge. It was 30 euros for the taxi to the airport and a bus to lindos which is beautiful cost 4 euros each way we didn't pay for. Rhodes old town is stunning and very close 30 mins away. All in all this is a great place and if you like the sun culture and your not a little Engander you will have a fab time.

We have literally just returned from a fantastic week at the Falaraki Beach Hotel.
The staf are ALL very friendly with a smile and a good morning for you, whether it be the cleaners, the bar staff, reception staff or the managers. They even arranged for a birthday cake for my husband while we were there and sang him happy birthday! The animation team cater for all nationalities, missing you already Ash.
The hotel is immaculate the cleaners clean from morning to night, the rooms are cleaned 7 days a week. The Ala carte restaurants give you variety from the main buffet and there is more than enough choice for every one. As well as the choice of 3 pools in the main area, you can stroll onto the beach, which is sandy with shallow water.
It is a family hotel as well as one used by all nationalities, so be prepared for this. However we had a wonderful relaxing break and a big Thank you to all who work there you were amazing

Begin of may stayed 5 days in this hotel which completely renovated in 2010
So it looks new and that’s what is it. Nice designed lobby and main restaurant.
Rooms are not to big but oke, a brand new and silent airco and also a small balcony.
Alle rooms equipped with a modern bathroom and also a free mini fridge filled every
2 days.
You can eat in the main restaurant inn or outside. There are also 4 a la carte restaurants,
I recommend to do this every night, great experience and good food. Even a Sushi restaurant.
But food is very good everywhere, also in the main restaurant. Don’t forget to taste the pastry in the poolbar; delicious.
The hotel has a big pool and garden with palm trees to relax. The garden is next to the beach.
Poolbar wihh view to the beach and good tosti’s when youre hungry after swimming.
When you don’t like some music near the pool, or animation( you’re doing well boys and girls)
then its better to choose another hotel, but it’s a beach hotel so for me oke.
I especially like to mention that the staff of this hotel is great, a reason for me to come back.

This was defo one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Possibly the worst one of all. Its location is good, although the beach could be much better. But thats not why that hotel dissapointed me that much. Its all because of the stuff. To be more precise, waitresses can not speak proper english, the bartenders are rude and animation team is obsessed with gaining money. There was not a single day when I wasnt asked if I didnt want to buy a tshirt, bingo, tombola or anything else. And dont get me wrong, I wouldnt mind speaking with animation that does speak english but that team strongly dissapointed me in nearly everything. In my life, I have never seen a hotel with such a greedy ambience as that one. They do not even try to hide! Avoid that hotel, if you want to spend a nice memorable calm moments full of joy. Oh and the food wasnt good neither, only in restaurants which you need to order in advance and are usually quite full. Guys I know Im writing my review quite late but I just bumped into photos from my holidays and it reminded me that I have to write this in order to help other avoiding a dissapointment which that hotel will surely provide you with.
Thanks xx

This hotel is fabulouse, i have never seen so much water in one hotel (5 pools) + water features at front of hotel. One of the two buildings has a pool the length of it where the first floor has private steps off varander. The main restaurant is large with an outside sitting area. The other 5 Ala Carte reataurants are outstanding, out of our 14 days we booked 10 eveing meals, you can also use them lunch time. The staff at this hotel are helpfull but most of all friendly who looked after us and we could have a laugh with. Thankyou to all the restaurant/bar/reception/cleaning/staff for a lovely holiday..xx

Room Tip: rooms that has private steps to pool

Just returned from an excellent week at this superb hotel. Mitsis has a winning All Inclusive formula, judging by it's consistently high ratings and reviews, and the newly refurbished Faliraki Beach Hotel is no exception. We've stayed in three different AI hotels in the past year and have been impressed by all three, but none more so than by the quality at this establishment. The food is excellent and varied, especially welcome being the five 'themed' restaurants with their very friendly waiting and cooking staff. All areas of the hotel are kept immaculately clean through day and night by an army of cheerful cleaning staff and they are all supported well by a great reception team.

As other reviewers have found, it is very hard to be critical about any area of the operation. There are plenty of sunbeds throughout the extensive pool and garden areas and the small, returnable deposit for beach towels worked well. The drinks selection was good and 'unadulterated'. The animation team worked hard through the day and were very welcoming.

Frankly there were very few areas where improvements could be made, but in the interest of fairness, it's worth noting that the food in the main restaurant could have been hotter, though this is a perennial problem for AI hotels because too much heat in the service areas leads to overcooked food and high wastage etc. We thought the addition of plate heaters would be helpful to maintain temperatures though. The refurbishment has left the hotel looking pristine, but with all the hard surfaces of tiling the noise tends to reverberate, especially when guests move furniture around the rooms or public areas. The simple addition of furniture pads would virtually eliminate all these 'blackboard scraping' sounds! And on the noise front, try to get a bedroom away from the kitchen area as the noise of the trolleys and cooking staff transmits through the floors and ceilings of a few rooms above the kitchen. Maybe the management could consider putting in some additional sound deadening materials in this area over the winter break?

As for the non-hotel issues, take no notice of reviewers taking a dislike to Russian or German guests or their children. Whilst these two nationalities clearly dominate the hotel's population, we found them all to be polite and friendly and their children well behaved. We wish we could have said the same for our British counterparts at the other hotels we have stayed at this year! Our only major criticism has to be reserved for the resort of Faliraki itself. Frankly it is a dump, and that is putting it mildly! We hope that all the efforts that are being put into creating fabulous hotels such as the Mitsis Beach are going to be matched by the local politicians and business community in giving the resort an equivalent facelift/makeover in the coming years. But don't let that put you off staying at the Mitsis Beach as it more than compensates for the rest of the town and there are plenty of lovely places to go visiting away from Faliraki, such as the Old Town area of Rhodes itself.

Room Tip: Ask to be sited away from the kitchen area and if you don't like your room, ask and ask again to...
