It is relatively easy to find if you know your way around or you google a little bit before.
If you rent a car/bike you have a free parking on the Sun.
Even for fit people it is not ideal location, you will need some transportation or by foot it is about 20 min walk to the entrance of the old town of Rhodes.
And be aware on the road there a lot of drunk people who rented some transportation and they don't know how to drive and they act like maniacs on the road. If you saw some Road Rage videos on the internet, on Rhodes it is 10x worse. They don't stop for anything or anyone. They even drive through the old town and pedestrian zone with full speed.
We didn't like that we didn't get any response to our emails before the trip from the Philoxenia property.
Room is decent size and it has almost everything. Terrace is private, but you can hear other guests from the room, because room walls and floors are thin.
Fridge is very old and weak, it needs replacing.
Owner is polite but cleaning ladies are not so efficient.
It is very very noise in the morning, if you like to sleep longer than 7 am, Philoxenia is not best for you. There are a lot of cats and big dangerous dogs(with owners but no leash and without muzzle) who are trying to catch them around the property.
It is ok for a short stay, but we didn't like the price, it is too high.

Room Tip: only rooms on the second floor

Thank Antonis & his mom for perfect hospitality.. Rooms were clean. Hotel is not far away to old town but in any case take a cab or hire a car. It was my second accommodation, hope to be there in following years.

We have stayed for a week. Our stay was very peaceful, the room was clean and the bathroom was ok. It was quite cheaper than we expected. I definitely recommend. It is around 2 kms to city center. We were happy to walk even it was 30 degrees, so if you don't mind walking a little Philoxenia would be a good choice.

Firstly, the Philoxenia is around 25 minutes walk to either the old town or the closest beach.... we enjoy walking so, no problem. There is a local bus stop (around 5/6 minute walk) which will take you into town or to Falaraki/Lindos etc.
Anthony (English spelling, sorry!) is a mine of information and, on arrival, supplies 3 maps (local with shops, banks, restaurants etc, slightly larger area for bus routes etc and a city/island map) as well as having a folder with all the local/island info too. He is at the hotel from around 7.30am to 11pm each day and, outside of those hours, guests can let themselves in using their electronic room key.
Rooms are cleaned every day, beds are firm and comfortable but, as it is primarily self catering, perhaps a couple more saucepans, a kettle and/or a cafetiere would be nice.
Breakfast is available (5 euro's each per day) and consists of toasted sandwiches, bread/toast, fruit and coffee (and lots of it!!) and was delicious. We stayed in room 101 (overlooking the front of the Hotel) where there was a little traffic noise, but, as the road is only a small thoroughfare there was hardly any traffic at night. We viewed one of the ground floor 'back' rooms but would go for the front if possible as they are much brighter.
Mention must be made of Souviaka Taverna..... 5 minutes walk, a set menu for 10 euro's each and, what a meal. Typically Greek, around a dozen (small) courses topped off with 'spices', a sort of highly spiced pizza/flapjack with, yep, spices!! We really enjoyed our stay and would have no problems about returning.

Room Tip: Front rooms lighter but with some slight traffic noise
